Zoo Med Wood Tortoise House

This is a well constructed house, perfect for two box turtles. Lots of space for a 9inch water dish and separate food dish. Hinged top makes cleaning all of it easy.

Looks great. Easy to assemble. Smells nice. Made of cedar.

It molds. It sucks. Dont buy it. The wood is crappy and it doesnt fit together properly. Hate it. I returned it.

Good overall design. It would be nice if the company would provide a plastic soft tray or treat the wood so that moisture wouldn’t be an issue. I’m housing a Russian tortoise so the moisture thing isn’t an issue. However, if I wanted to keep hatchling/juvenile Redfoot tortoises or box turtles, humidity needs would be higher and a tray or sealant would be required

Very light, cheap wood! Definitely not worth $100. You could probably buy better quality materials and build yourself for 1/4 of the cost. Also impossible to get the box square so the lids don’t quite line up when closed.

Definitely not good for baby tortoises. Temperature & humidity regulation is too hard. Would be great for outdoor time if you have inside torts though.

I ordered these and the hardware was rusted. I previously ordered 2 others and they came in perfect condition , very disappointed.

This requires some assembly but because the wood is soft it was easy to do with a screw driver. It took me about 1 hour because it wasnt the only thing I was working on at the time and I am not great with building things! My sulcata tortoise LOVES his new home. He was really excited to explore and enjoy his better hide. This is really a great investment in the well-being of your tortoise. Highly recommend!

Love it and so does my killer, attack tortoise Attila The Hun. Approx 20 mins putting together. I’d go larger if possible but it’s perfect for night time as Tillie spends daytime outdoors. Lined the bottom with puppy pads, coconut fiber & bark then moss for the sleep chamber. Couldn’t be happier with it.

My turtle loves it big lots of space and easy to build could use a little more thicker wood on the walls but other than that perfect
