Zoo Med Wood Tortoise House

Bigger than I thought and my turtle loves the house which is an enclosed space for him. Definitely recommend!

Perfect for baby red foots. I lined the bottom with a rubber mat.

Awesome product. My tortoise has been living on one of these happy for over a year.

The tortoise house is perfect for a small tortoise. The divided space gives the turtle space to either get some sun or find a hiding space.

Like everything about it. Good tip to line the bottom with repellent substance (mat/linoleum ) for easier clean up when changing out the house.

Our Red food tortoise out grow the kiddie pool she lived in and was escaping from her pool. So I bought two of these at separate times. First one came, no broken parts, super easy to put together. But wasnt big anoth for our Red Foot Tortoise. So we got a second one, which really helped and made a big difference. Now she has room. The second one was easy to put together. BUT the top hatch frame was broken on arrival from shipping damage. In the shipping package, you could see whole in the box and the hatch frame, over the sleeping house came apart in shipping. All the other pieces where just fine. So, I fixed it. I had to use wood glue and put a screw in it. I figured it was heaps easier then trying send it back. Because I normally would build her house, if I wasnt so busy. Besides the broken piece in the mail the second time. We and our tortoise love the tortoise box. :) She no longer gets out. Its got great screen hatch on it for lamps and sleeping box. I think our tortoise is a little disappointed she cant run the house freely anymore. But now we know she is some where safe :)

Great product. Assembly was a snap. Works well for my sons Russian Tortoise.

Pretty ok to,put together, works for the tortoises, and me. A year later, I added rubbery yoga mats to the bottom of both of the two I have. One houses a single male golden Greek tortoise who is the father of the other three. And too aggressive at times. The siblings do well in theirs, but am adding a third one. To make theirs bigger. Living in a house with dogs, the pens are up off the floor on sturdy tables, giving my back a break, and they have peace, without attracting unwanted attention. I am handy, but not a carpenter. Like someone up here’s use of latches to connect them at one end. Still pretty good for the price, lights can be kept on top of the wire for the right distance away, if done safely. Or you can get a stand to hang them on to swing away for feeding cleaning, etc.. My tortoises are staying warm in the winter and draft free, so no colds. That to me is the number one reason I like mine.
