    Greater than one week

I have to find someone to assemble. I really wish I had known. I would not have spent over $100 for something I have to make myself. It’s only 12” high. It wouldn’t have been much bigger if it was was put together like in the picture.

I ordered two Zoo Med Tortoise Houses for Boris and Natasha, my Russians. The kits arrived on time and assembled easily, per the instructions, using just a Phillips screwdriver. The houses are designed with a panel that easily slides up and out, so two can be set up end-to-end as a single long habitat. To keep everything fixed, I used duct tape to secure the connection all around. Works like a charm. I lined the inside with heavy duty vinyl from the local hardware store as a moisture barrier and added substrate on top. I am very happy with the result. The price was reasonable and the product performs exactly as advertised. My only suggestion to Zoo Med would be to sell a heavy duty moisture barrier designed for the exact dimensions and contours of the house, since over time moisture will surely damage the wooden bottom if not protected.

Bigger than I thought a lot of room for my eastern box turtle easy to put together, & good quality wood.

I wasnt sure what to expect when ordering this product. It took 10 minutes to put together and gives my redfoot tortoise plenty of room to roam and a seperate place to be secluded. I would recommend this product to anyone. I like it much better than an aquarium.

We saw this model in a pet store for over $180, so we assumed this was a good deal. Unfortunately, it shipped warped out of the box. Several of the wooden panels were severely warped. This made the assembly very difficult, and the pieces were off by a quarter inch or so all around. Most of the pilot holes were off as well. Somewhat disappointing. Still out Redfoot Tortoise seems happy in it, and we didnt have to go build it. Just dont expect a pristine product. Note there is a lack of assembly directions either. The panels are poorly labeled, and the directions inaccurate.

lid does not lay flush had to create screw holes because the original ones didnt match the holes in the hinges.

Very pleased with the tortoise house. My tortoise will have plenty of growing room. Recommend a partner to help hold pieces together when assembling. One wrong move and youll have a long screw accidentally go through wrong way. I didnt, thank goodness :-)
