I love the Asus user interface unfortunately my router frequently drops my connection. I can’t keep my WeMo smart plugs connected for more than a couple of days at a time despite scheduling automatic reboots at 3 AM. When playing video games sometimes my ethernet connection drops for no good reason. I have tried disabling all the AI protection and features which sort of defeats the purpose of the router anyway but they still did not stop the problems.

I have liked Asus routers for over a decade, and my last router the RT-AC68P, was really good had it since 2015. But I needed more ports.

Upgraded from the rt-ac88u and this is way fast and more stable. Running in conjunction with an AI Mesh setup and 3 other routers and provides very fast streaming able to keep up with our 1 GB up/down fiber line. Love this router and very good reception and speed

Easy install. Great set up. We love all the features for parental control and access. Great range. Connects all devices in our 3300sqft home.

Worked fine for half a day. Afterwards, it drops the connections constantly. Much cheaper routers performed better in the past. Even disabling WiFi 6 features didnt help. Ive had cheaper WiFi 5 routers that could handle all of the devices on my network without dropping the connection frequently. Do not buy.

This is a modern, very fast, high-end router. Im a little sorry that soon, probably before the end of this year, the latest Wi-Fi 7 class routers will appear on the retail market. Yes, I know that they will be very expensive at first, but still ... I quickly set up this router. It has a lot of settings, the router is just stuffed with functions. The router does not support 10-gigabit ports, but one 2.5-gigabit port is enough for me. I have one problem so far and it is that my Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8+ could not see the 6 GHz network of this router. And my PC on the MSI X570S motherboard perfectly saw this 6 GHz network. My smartphone and tab are fine. Obviously, it is necessary to reconfigure the 6 GHz network on the router thoroughly and once again.

Bought to replace AC87U which started to give up after 9 years of service.

Would recommend. Love the stability and reliability of ASUS routers. With 4 people working from home and/or schooling from home quality and reliability are critical.
