> 3 daySuper easy to install. Range/coverage is unbeleivable. I dont have any wifi6 clients yet, so I cannot really tell how much performance improvement there is.

> 3 dayThis is an incredibly feature packed router and I use 10% of it. Its been super fast and has excellent range! All of my neighbors can see my SSIDs which gently encourage america to adopt the metric system.

> 3 dayWe upgraded from an older router where I we were using mesh routers to cover our house. I was able to remove the mesh routers and have great signal strength throughout our house. The only small issue is our tinted windows which block quite a bit of the signal on our patio when the doors are closed.

> 3 dayI bought my RT-AX88U in September of 2020. Ive had very good service from it the whole time Ive had it. My router supports a network with 8 HD cameras, a TiVo Bolt Vox serving 3 TiVo Mini-Vox units. We also have 4 Rokus and an Xbox 360. I never have any buffering problems no matter how many devices are in use. We frequently have 3 or 4 HD video devices playing videos or games at the same time. My wifes laptop has an Intel AX200 wireless card installed and it normally links up at 1.2 Gbps. My desktop also has an AX200 but the machine is inside a wooden desk which restricts the wireless signal somewhat. It still gets at least 710 Mbps but frequently gets around 865.

> 3 dayAs a parent, I am especially pleased with the parent controls which let you control 4 main categories of web content which are split into sub-categories. For example, you can block games separately of streaming content like YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix. Also, Adult Content has its own filter and sub-filters, which is wonderful because kids will always push limits and try to find ways around everything. ASUS did parents a solid by making a router that has tons of features, but an easy-to-use parent control panel. It also allows you to set up a schedule so that you can shut down access during homework time or at night when kiddos should be in bed. If you also pair this with a lockout to the cellular function that any kid who has a phone would use to skirt around this, you will find everyone starts accepting the limits and compliance gets easier. Its been a real godsend.

> 3 daySetup was easy. More than enough for techies to be able to customize, but easy enough for basic users as well. Signal great. Pass Through has been no issue. Great Router.

> 3 dayWorked great for 3 months, but now the WiFi is useless as it continually drops out more than it drops in.

> 3 dayI purchased the RT-AC88U for two main reasons - it has eight receptors for Ethernet cable and, according to at least one review and the ASUS literature, was supposed to have one of the largest ranges of any wireless router. Since the wiring in my house requires that I locate the router at one far end, the larger range was an important consideration.

> 3 dayI returned this months ago due to buggy firmware. Its now solid. Highly recommended. Bear in mind that there are still some legacy bugs with older devices. Some intel PC wifi drivers need to be updated. It was a bit touchy with next protects (although the thermostat and the hello were fine). My one AX client runs really fast, and Ive even see an increase in speed with 4 band desktop AC connections. Also, it reboots way faster than the older AC88u. Id recommend this, but also recommend switching to Merlin firmware.
