Does the job, and makes an older laptop feel zippy.

Had to download drivers and install software and other numerous steps for windows 10 to recognize the drive. After that it was easy to migrate the OS from another drive. Would buy again. EDIT* Purchased March 2019. Died today September 29, 2021. Little over 2 years. Not very reliable for supposedly being the best out there, I have had many spin drives that lasted a lot longer.

It dropped right into place of the old 1tb hdd after I cloned the drive and the laptop now lasts a bit longer while Im using it. Only thing is it doesnt come with a sata-usb connector so I had to buy one elsewhere.

I installed this on my old hp pavilion dv7 laptop and it improved the speed dramatically compared to old hard disk drive. Works perfectly fine. This was a cheap upgrade to old laptop.

It was recommended to me by a fortune apple tech. Super easy install with him coaching me through it. Township plays much better. No stalling switching from 1 app to another.

What did I like? I liked that drive encryption took 85 minutes instead of 25 hours. I liked and still like that suspend time is reduced to maybe 5 seconds (early win7 was 2 to 3 seconds - very fast, but around win8 timeframe MSFT made it take 10 to 30 seconds - nice to have the time back almost... thanks msft? no - thanks samsung!). I like that boot up is about 5x faster. I like that fakebook - the slowest website on the planet - loads my pages in less than a day! I like that when procexp shows very high memory commit the machine is still usable! Wow! What a great change! Dont buy a new machine, buy one of these, and ghost your old install onto it (or use their migration tools? I didnt - I used ghost) and youll be a happy camper with all the speed of the fastest new machine, and only a very small cost. Well Done!

I used this Samsung SSD as my boot drive to load my PC and store important video games. My load time for Windows is anywhere from 5-10 seconds at the slowest. The drive is pretty fast and reliable and I really recommend it.

Swapped out the HDD on the Xbox One X with this guy and it was totally worth it. Highly recommended.

Works just as advertised. Easy to install in my ASUS laptop. Actually now have 2 - 1TB SSD drives installed and no issues.
