So far so good as a primary desktop PC boot drive. I have had great luck (speed, endurance, reliability) with Samsung SSDs in the past. Once Ive had this for a bit longer I will be able to give better feedback.

No issues, meet all our needs

This drive is the fastest SATA 6 ssd I have ever used. For some reason it has a rapid mode which can be enabled within the Samsung magician software v 3.5, a free download. Updating firmware was literally two clicks and done. Very effective software support. Performance optimization is another selection for all installed drive (SSD/m.2) that appears to run a full trim across the drive. One must respect that Samsung fully admits over loading an SSD with data will slow it down. The over-provisioning option leaves 5-10% unallocated, all within a couple clicks on the magician software. I recommend this drive or the 512gb version to any desktop, laptop or external USB based owner. The 256gb and 512gb drives are quite inexpensive right now. For Enterprise I still recommend quad raid m.2 Evo 970s probably pm981s, thought 970 pros are worth a look ar

Decent price, easy install. Before installing the SSD (I used the slot for my drive b/u), I went to the Samsung site and downloaded their cloning software … they call it data transfer. Installed it. Shut down, popped my system image drive out, put in the new drive, booted up, cloned the new drive. It took about an hour.

Has been in a constantly running machine since 2017 and still works by some miracle so no complaints

I bought this as an upgrade for a small SSD operating system (Win10) boot drive. The drive seems to be quite fast and perhaps the best surprise is that Samsung has free drive cloning software available online that worked without a hitch.

Bought it to replace the 2TB HDD on my PS4 Pro 500 Million since I plan on sticking with my Pro for the rest of my life.

It was easy to install. It has brought a dying Mac Book Pro back to life and it is basically functioning faster and better than new. The price was excellent as well.

Replaced my Late 2011 13 Macbook Pro hard drive with this SSD and it runs like new. Startup time went from more than 6 minutes to about 30 seconds. I couldnt run Final Cut Pro on my old HDD, but now it works great. Considering getting another in the future to put in place of my optical drive.
