Ok, so the SSD is great, and I got pretty good speed on my Mac even using it as an external hard drive - See the image of the benchmark.

Opera muchas horas y no calienta en exceso la zona del teclado.

I love the Samsung program that mirrors your current drive and moves everything (operating system and all) to the new drive.

I bought this SSD to replace a 1TB HDD. I have always been on the fence about SSDs, as I have heard of the finite ability to erase and write like a traditional HDD. But with current technology this 2.5 form factor SATA SSD was a bargain. I used to boot up my PC and go into the kitchen to start coffee while I waited for my PC to actually boot up. But with this SSD, that which took several minutes now takes mere seconds, as in its up and running before I can get up to go into the kitchen. I do have an M.2 SSD slot, but M.2 is fairly pricey, so I opted for the 2.5 form factor and it works beyond my expectations.

Plugged in this SSD to my laptop and it works. I needed storage space for my games and this helps a lot.

It is very nice. I installed it on enclosure with USB 3.1 Type-C without issue. Thats what I needed for my class.

I put this in my MacBook Pro 2012 and it is so much faster and quieter. I’m happy with the results.

I must really like the Samsung 860 EVO SSD. I now have 3 of them in my computer, 1 in my Mac Mini, and one in my PS4! They are FAST! The prices are finally coming down on SSDs so we can afford to use them. Next, we just need larger capacity for better prices. I would like to be able to afford a 3-4 TB SSD, be we just are not there, yet. In the meantime, I will continue to use these. They are not the fastest drives Samsung has, but they are excellent. I have not had any trouble with mine. They are a pretty good value now and just under $150.

Im no geek so I dont know much except basic install and Samsung doesnt give you much to work with. Your on your own with this. Difficult time installing because the Samsung migration software has limited functionality. It will only produce a clone under perfect circumstances. This means if you have multiple drives within your disc then it fails. Anyway EaseUS backup (free) worked perfectly. Just tick the boxes to to clone the entire disc with all drives to the new SSD. Also tick the boxes sector copy and SSD optimize and shut down Then install the new drive before booting again. That way it clones exactly and includes all the crap it needs to boot.

Easy to replace with the standard HDD on the PS4 Pro and it significantly improved my load times. It depends on the game, but I would say it averages to around 30-50% faster for load times.
