    Greater than one week

Roger is a toy poodle 2 years old, very intelligent, and picky with the food. Since I have him (2 months old), its been impossible he likes the dry food. I had to sit and play with him and spent time at every meal time. Sometimes I used to mix the dry food with white rice, meat, or veggies (my food) for him to like it. Recently, he start eating the dry food, not from his plate but from the floor, playing like canicas... Since the first night I got the PETLIBRO, Roger absolutely love it!! He eats all from the plate, and this morning he was barking desperate asking the robot for his food!! I can not believe it!! I am so so happy!!! Very easy installation. For my dog, I give him 3 portions (the perfect size I was previously giving him), twice a day. Roger can now have his food on time and I will not need to be seated there for 15 min or mix the food with my food. I did not think it will work on Roger since I have tried so many different bowls, plates, and everything... but this is so great!!! Highly recommended!!

Overall I’m pleased with the feeder. A portion, meaning many times the food is dispensed, is relatively small but you set how many portions you want to come out at a time. It locks really tight so your pets can’t get into it.

I have this model and purchased this one for a friend. It is very well built, and mine has been working faithfully for over a year, AND it is outside on lanai in Florida, so very humid. I dont have any issues with quality of this product. My issue is it is next to impossible to program! You cant go back to fix anything, you have to start all over to program if mistake. There is no info on amount of each portion, so it is hit or miss with the amount. I was hoping my friend could figure out how to use it, but she couldnt (cant blame her!) so I had to program hers. It really takes ALL the joy out of owning this once you get caught in the program mess. There has to be an easier way, OR an easier product out there.

Its really pretty but I never used it because I cant figure it out. I had to buy a manual cat feeder. Waste of money but looks good

We bought the WHITE one (not sure if color is important but I know there is a black one as well so, just for clarity). Works great. make sure you measure your animals food size to ensure it fits. It feeds out a little bit of portion at a time (at least thats how we have it set up) and it makes a slight robot powering up kind of noise, that is loud enough to alert my dog that food is dropping but its not too loud that its distracting. Though the first few times it made a noise, i was startled because i didnt recognize the sound and didnt know what it was. so i was more confused than frightened. Only issue is the cord for plugging it in isnt that long, so make sure you place it near an outlet.

I got this early the set up was actually easy. I have a husky she’s medium sized. Her kibble fit. If you’re wondering how the portions size work, I did like a test I put her regular portion of how she gets fed and you count the portion size mesure it if it’s all the right amount when setting it up you just plug it in there. So far it’s been good for the first day I got it

Bought this because my cat needs to lose weight but whenever you feed her she thinks she has to eat all of it right away. I like that this can be set to feed 6 times a day, so although her portion sizes are small she only has to wait 4 hours for more. Very sleek and modern looking and fairly easy to set once you get the hang of it. Now I dont have to feel like a bad mom when Lucy wants to be fed. I just tell her the machine says its not time yet.

Update: About a month from initial review. The device itself works AMAZING. Technology is perfect, no malfunctions, still easy to use. I have a ring camera set up to monitor it so I know it is working exactly how it should. I’ve gone through hell and back trying to figure out how much food to give my cat. Not that this is to the fault of pet libro. But each portion is .4 ounces by weight. There is nothing in this device manual that gets into specifics about portions. Many sources tell you how many ounces to feed by VOLUME. The two are very different. So be careful, and call your vet if you’re confused. Also- the bowl is way too deep. I have been trying to figure out a way to elevate it. My cat in the beginning was giving up on the last 5-10 pieces, and I think it was because of how deep it is. He is eating more now, but I can just tell that the bowl is too deep and narrow. This is a horrible design for cats. I know I’ll figure something out though. I just wish the bowl was more ergonomic. (Old review) I’ve had this for a little over a week and it works exactly how it should. The features are great. The instruction manual does not tell you how much food goes into a “portion”. You will have to google how many ounces is in each portion, and then calculate how many portions your cat will need in one feeding based on weight.

I ordered two on these units. One of the units seems to be a returned unit as it has scratches on the top, and was missing the rubber caps that covered the charging port. The second unit I ordered that came at the same time had rubber caps and no scratches. Other than that, both units seem to be functioning correctly, I’m still playing with portion sizes and schedules but I like it so far. I haven’t used the recording feature as I don’t feel that I need it. I also placed shallow stainless steel bowls into the bowls it came with as I find those bowls a little too deep for cats.

Once programmed it is great and takes one thing off of my daily chores. However, the slit that shows the food level is narrow and my feeder is in a dim corner so I dont always see the food level. Twice now in the few weeks that I owned it, my cats had to meow loudly to tell me they didnt get fed! If it is possible to design a low food indicator light, that would be great!
