Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

They really need to start selling these at stores along with other small animal care products. Ive been looking like a product like this for years for my rats. It can serve the same function as a hammock without them being tempted to rip it off. The plastic hinges make it difficult for my naughty pets to access a way to tear it down. My two rats sleep in this all the time and its great for the summer when it gets really hot--the surface still manages to stay comfy and cool for them. Great product!

I bought a very large cage for my rats first, the Super Pet My First Home. I received the cage before this, so first they adjusted to the increased amount of space and slept on the levels and their igloo. When this came in the mail, I placed it so that it hung from the top and put a wood ladder to it so they could get up there easily. I had to place one inside it first, but after they realized it was safe and comfy, thats the only place they sleep. I have three (large) rats and they all squeeze into it comfortably.

its a decent nest spot, and my rats do like hanging out in it. its pretty thin plastic -- a determined rodent could definitely chew through, but mine arent particularly interested in doing so. 4 stars because the hang clips dont actually work, so it has to sit on a surface. i like that its extremely easy to take apart and clean.

I loved this and so did my boys it fits them both easily and i always see them cuddling inside. It was really easy to assemble but it sometimes falls apart but other than that great buy

All our female rats absolutely love these space pods! I cant understand why local pet shops dont sell these! I think these are way better than the plastic igloos hideouts, etc. Our rats have made this their favorite spot to snooze --- rats love to be up high - so we mounted them high in their cages & added fabric inside to keep them cuddly. These pods are versatile to position & very easy to clean. Our rats do not chew them, so they are holding up perfectly. Highly recommend!!

My two Syrians hamsters do not like this product i have now idea why they dont i have placed this in their cage and they refuse to go near it i have since taking it out of the cage and into storage maybe the next kid will like it

I purchased this for three female rats. Its big enough that two of them can fit in it snuggled together quite comfortably. It would possibly fit all three if they laid on top of each other some, but my third girl prefers her turtle hideout, so I feel its a matter of preference. I have it hanging from the ceiling of the cage. It was very easy to put together and install in the cage. Its rather intuitive and its pretty secure once put together. Im not concerned about it coming apart as you might find with some other two piece houses. I use fleece to line mine and my picky girl loves to sleep in it.

Best little space pod ever. My ratties absolutely love these things... they make little nests in them and try to hide.. some of them try to fit as many of their siblings in the dome as possible. Great purchase. Mine always hangs from the roof.

The space pod is by far my rats favorite thing in their cage. So far Ive had six rats and they all love their space pod. I wouldnt dream of ever taking it away. I do wish it was a little bigger, but right now with four small females they all manage to squish in there together, which is adorable. Its also by far the best value Ive gotten out of any rat bed Ive bought. Hammocks, huts, blankets, hanging beds, its all come and gone and the space pod is going strong. Easy to clean too. Definitely buy if youre a rat owner, I consider this a must have.

Its a bit smaller inside than I thought (I got the large). I have 3 small female rats, and its a tight fit for 2. On the other hand, the legs take up a lot of room. It doesnt fit inside my current cage at all. On the other hand, my current cage is really too small for my rats, I have a double Critter Nation cage coming soon, and I plan to use it there. I dont think it will be a major hang-out, but it will provide another option for the ratties. Overall, not unsatisfied, just wish the bowl was as little bigger.
