Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

Product met expectations and it’s good. Unfortunately our silly guinea pig does not like it.

I have 2 dumbo rats and they absolutely LOVE this thing! I have them in a 40 gallon critter cage/tank so I cant hang it up but they love it sitting on the floor of their cage. I have tried a lot of different rat houses for them and my girls have given this a 5-star rating! Mine is a very pretty purple and blue instead of the yellow/green that is in the picture but it matches their cage accessories wonderfully. Both girls fit in it just fine and snuggle there together most of the time. 04122011, okay, so I upgraded the girls to a very large, multi-level wire cage so now the Pod hangs from the ceiling and they love it even more! I posted a pic of the girls in their pod.....

Very cute and my Ratty Girls love it! When I received the package there was only HALF of the pod in the box (the underside of the pod was there, the canopy was missing). It also had a manufacturers note stating that the vendor must build the pod prior to sale of the item. Not sure what went wrong there, whether a machine pulled only half of the pod for shipping or what, but I called Amazon and they shipped me another out right away and it came whole and is great.

Whenever I walk to the cage, at least one of my rats is always in it. By far their favorite item in the cage. Its easy to clean and can be used as both one item or two

My rats love it and my mama rat goes there when she needs space from her babies. Perfect hide bigger than it looks

I have 5 stars for sturdiness but I do recommend if you have more then 3 rats then get 2 because my girls love it and more then my 2 big female rats it starts to fall of the top of the cage.

I got this for my rat because he needed some hideouts in his cage. I read that rats like to sleep at the highest point of their cage so I wanted something that clipped to the top of the cage. He chewed through the hammocks I tried, then I found this. It is his favorite! He was leery at first but within an hour he was curious and climbed in. He spends most of his day in this little bubble: checking out everything through the windows or sleeping. I give him sheets of tissue paper that he drags in there to fluff up as a nest. The only downfall is that the clips to affix to the cage do loosen up a bit over time from taking off for cleanings which is to be expected.

If youre priorities are convenience and cleanliness, then this is the item for your pet! I have 3 rats that share this space, and they love it! I have mine hanging from the top of the cage which they can reach easily by climbing to the top level. For their enjoyment I toss in a torn paper towel which they shred up for some extra bedding (NOT necessary, they will cozy up in there just as well without it, ... its just to give them something to do). The best part is how easily this attaches to the cage, and stays in place! Ive been using mine a few months now and it has never come loose. Yet its easy to remove for cleaning, ... which is the best part. It just pops apart and can be washed with soap and water! Beats out any other house, dome, or igloo Ive tried yet. My rats choose this spot to sleep over every other place in the cage. I plan on buying another one!

Ive bought several of these over the years. Every one of my pet rats have LOVED it. Its the only thing they sleep in.
