Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

I have been wanting one of these for years and now that I finally have one my rats dont even use it!!! The boys I have now are worse than my cats, they are so picky about what they like to sleep in. But I know my other rats Ive had over the years would have loved something like this. Stashing it away in storage for the time being, but Im still happy with this purchase! I like that its plastic because if they pee in it or make a mess, all you have to do is wipe with a paper towel. Cant do that with a hammock!

Our pet rats go nuts over these! We have replaced our igloos with Space Pods. You can hang the pod from the top of the cage or put it on the floor (we have one of each in each cage). Our rats dont flip these over like they flipped the igloos. Very cozy, but has three exit ports/windows. Our three adult male rats squish into one of these in a big pile of happiness.

Great product for my two female fancy rats. It took a day or two for my <1yr old fancies to learn that the device was a hammock, but eventually they got into it everyday together. One downside is the hinges for the product to remain fastened to the cage. They ware down and wont hold unless refastened with additional materials not included with this sale. Overall the main issue is easily fixed and the product works as intended otherwise.

My rat loves it ! He prefers it to be in the hanging position so Id recommend just trying it one way and seeing how they respond.

I think at least one of my rats is in this at all times. I put a little square of fleece in there to make it cozy, and it is perfect for them. Bonus, its easy to reach into if you need to coax them out/clean it/bring them out for play.

I got the large one but it seems kinda small. Both rats can get in at the same time although usually its just one at a time. They didnt get in it when it was hanging but they like to climb in it when I put it on their cage platform

My three rats absolutely adore this. They all love to snuggle up together in it and nest in it and they pee All over it. I would definitely recommend making this something to hang off of the top of the cage instead of something at the bottom, for rats at least. My boys spend so much time sleeping together in this space pod, I cannot tell you how happy I am with this product. :-)

Wow. I need like 4 more of these. My rats LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I was thinking they were going to break it when TEN of them stuffed themselves in there. Yes, 10. 2-3 month old babies plus an adult. I have mine hanging on the roof of their cage. They love it. Did I say they love it? So easy to clean, so inexpensive, and .... I will be buying more for my other cages. I will say that the tabs on the top (bottom) that hook onto the cage should take the abuse. Unfortunately multiple pounds in one has broken off one of the tabs. I just wrapped some wire around it and attached it to the top of the cage with no problems. I would think under NORMAL circumstances you wouldnt have an issue. Put 5 lbs of rats in it and you might run into this :)

Easy to assemble. I used metal shower hooks to attach to tops of my rats cages. I bought my first one in 2017 and my 3 rats loved them so much I bought another one for them. I now have 4. 2 in each cage. Once in a while I find my 3 adult male rats all crammed into one. It is perfect for 2 adult rats. Good quality. I highly recommend this product.

I love this product so much, Ive bought it numerous times for my 3 boys. They LOVE to hang out in their space pod & cuddle puddle on top of each other. I think the more closed off space is really comforting to them, they sleep in there all the time. If you have rats, this is a must! Theyll love you for it :)
