Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

I don’t know what it is about this thing, but the rats absolutely love it. It is their chosen place to sleep, snuggle, and hang out. It is easy to hang in the cage and easy to clean.

My boys love their space pod!!! Its sturdy plastic, easy to clean, easy to clip onto the cage, and holds a good number of rats LOL. Our fatties love to cuddle and sleep in their space pod and its a great product! A must have if you have rats!

got this for my 2 6week old fancy rats and they like it but dont love it. they will play in it but its not there reguler kind of thing so i would recommend this for rats. P.S i would put it where or close to where they usally hang out or sleep.

Everyone loves these but mine came misshapen and no matter what I did they never got in shape enough to put together.

Honestly, I initially thought this was far too expensive for what it is: two relatively thin and simple pieces of plastic. I put one up in each of the three rat cages and it took little time for the boys to cram themselves into it--they have no interest in their fabric hammocks anymore. After realizing that I no longer have to sew replacement hammocks (due to their chew-and-lounge habits), this space pod has saved me time, money, and effort: it is super-easy to clean. Aesthetically speaking, it would be awesome if Lixit would release a couple more color options as it contrasts with the rat cages decor, but thats obviously just a matter of preference and not a genuine issue.

Love this and so does our ground squirrel. I put his blanket in it and it is his favorite bed. Update: We let ground squirrel go...He would not be tamed so what did we do with cage and accessories?? We got a couple rats but since the pet store did not give us two girls....well now we have 15 rats and I can tell you two big fat boys, sometime three cram in this and sleep. we also have one in the girls cage and because they are smaller in size, there are at least three or four in it to sleep. I am so glad we bought one and then the second after the babies were born.

Ordered this a few weeks ago and it took no time at all for my two males rats to start tussling over who got to sleep in it. And when they are in a snuggly mood, they squeeze both of their tubby butts in there. Its a definite hit. As for me -- I like it because it is easy to install, it is easy to remove and clean, and if I ever decide I do not want it hanging from the top of the cage anymore I can just flip it over and it sits on a surface. Really great product.

My two adult male rats adore this thing. We have it hanging from the roof off their cage and as soon as it was installed they were in it. They take all there naps in there and seem to have found the perfect rat nap configuration, with a head hanging out each hole. I love that is hangs on the roof of the cage. It saves the floor space for litter boxes and toys and them climbing into it makes it more fun.

Easy to assemble. I used metal shower hooks to attach to tops of my rats cages. I bought my first one in 2017 and my 3 rats loved them so much I bought another one for them. I now have 4. 2 in each cage. Once in a while I find my 3 adult male rats all crammed into one. It is perfect for 2 adult rats. Good quality. I highly recommend this product.

They sleep in it ALL the time. One of them is quite large, and they both fit in it just fine, they like to pile on top of each other! I originally had it in the cage of my girl rats, and they pretty much ignored it, only climbing in occasionally to sniff around, and then leaving. But as soon as I put it in the cage with my boys, they started sleeping in it right away - I woke up the next morning to find them passed out in it, so Im really happy I bought it. :):)
