> 24 hourSo I bought this product thinking Asus is really a good brand - well not in routers it seems. AX88U spec’s met all of my requirements and spent the last week getting the office ready for the install. Routers are usually a quick easy install, this was not the case to where I needed to call support. After their support went through their checks, they said the product was defective and I need to return it to the seller. This was a brand new product! I hoping I can return but I will be looking for another brand (due to defective product right out of the box or just plain horrible support - either one is not good if you are looking for reliable service). My recommendation - stay away from Asus routers.

> 24 hourI have used a variety of routers and have found that Asus has some of the best, most reliable, and feature rich routers available. This has support for AI-Mesh, VPNs (natively), multiple network types spanning all the major revisions (B, G, N, AC, & AX), Works in both bands seamlessly, the list goes on. I fully suggest if you are looking to upgrade this is great choice for any home network.

> 24 hourThis is my second ASUS router and despite the cost, I love them! This one has a slightly lower range than my last, but makes up for it with speed and reliability. As with all of these type routers, the basic setup does a great job, but if you do your homework and dig into the manual settings, theres a LOT of GREAT features in this thing! I run my home and business off of it!

> 24 hourFor the price, I expected more. Yes I am receiving the speeds that my old router couldnt handle. However, it loses connection way more often than the old one. The trade off is not worth it. Get a cheaper router that can handle your ISPs speeds and skip this one.

> 24 hourI wanted an Asus wifi 6 router (future proof) and decided on this one. Since April 2020, the firmware has stabilized and I no longer have issues with my aimesh setup. There was a known bug with apple products dropping wifi when switching between the nodes and router. Asus seems to have fixed this issue as I know longer have this issue on my iphones or macbook. I never have any random drops. I use the asus app to make sure my routers are always updated. I wished it could be done automatically or at least have the option, but its a manual pull and update process via the app. Takes 5 minutes to do this. I tried using this router alone in 2,700sqft home, but decided on adding a node (rt-ac86u) to better cover the house. I have not done so but will be connecting the two via lan to create a dedicated backhaul.

> 24 hourThis is my third AX6000 router. I recommend this to family and friends. I have not found any router that has this range. WiFi reaches over 3000 ft which makes it great for covering a whole house.

> 24 hourRouteur offrant une bonne puissance et rapidité. Il est facile à configuré et jai bien aimé que ce dernier teste tout mon réseau et ma configuration et me dise ce quil faut que je fasse pour améliorer la sécurité de ce dernier. Jaime bien pouvoir le configurer à distance via lapplication pour téléphone intelligent.

> 24 hourBefore purchasing this router I was running an Asus AC88U. To be honest this newer router is more of the same. It’s extremely reliable. Although I don’t believe I’ll see any of the benefits of this router until I get some Wi-Fi 6 devices. I’m giving this router five stars because I still believe it’s one of the best routers on the market. If you already have an Asus AC88U this is not much of an upgrade unless you have Wi-Fi 6 devices or are adding this device to a mesh network with other Asus wireless routers. That’s when this router really shines. By the way Overtime software updates add new features which is something I’m not used to with routers. Usually to get new features you have to buy a new router. I expect it to be no different with the AX88U.
