I purchased this modem (RT-AX88U) 2/2015 and used it for home. After 2 years and 3 months the signal started to drop intermittently. A power cycle would restore service. After 2 more weeks of this, the modem fails to come back to service. Product is now out of warranty. Its a shame. Will try other brand.

This thing is rock solid. Seriously. Coming from a Netgear Nighthawk R9000 that would constantly drop signal, this RTAX88U is a big win. More ports, AX wifi for future devices, and holy cow the interface is night and day compared to Netgears. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

This is my second one, first one kept dropping off both Ethernet and WiFi. But when it worked it was awesomely fast. Sent it back and hooked up the second one. Boom same issue. Haven’t been able to access my security cameras with port forwarding, static ip. Updated firmware, tried older ones and nada. Have to send back and try a different brand.

Wow, WIFI 6 is the real deal. Im able to transfer files to/from my server at nearly 1.5GB/s speeds wirelessly to my Razer laptop with a AX200NGW wifi card. This is faster than if I was directly connected with a wire. Really impressed with this performance. Firmware and android app are well built and have a lot of functionality. I like the AIProtection being on-board and parental controls that are well laid out.

Not much to it really. It’s fast. Have never lost a signal since purchase, so far 1 month in. Easy setup and great companion app.

So I was on the fence for awhile, I did not need 802.11ax but my Netgear AC nighthawk was starting to bump devices off. I am very pleased with the Asus RT-AX88U. I did have some compatibility issues with my garage door and LED lights, read on to see how I solved it. I live in a 2700 square foot home, new construction, and this baby is more than power enough to give great signal to my 25 device with no dead spots.

Speedy nice range On Wi-Fi No Problems With The Connections So Far

Not working. Not compatible to connect my cams Ring and Nest. I need to return to another brand of router.
