> 3 dayAfter setting the newest round of patches that came out in the last couple months, my wifi bands have gone in and out. At first just the box itself would reboot into some weird safe mode randomly, then a firmware update fixed that. The wifi reliability is still an issue. Ive waited 3 patched and still no fix. I also noticed he box runs very hot, which I presume is part of the issue. Ive had to place it next to an air conditioner vent (seemed to get fewer crashes). Ive owned another Asus router with the same home set up, no problem, worked like a champ. Decided to get this for added security, but it doesnt work and im outside the return window from when the problem showed up.

> 3 dayI like that it looks elegant and throws a strong wifi signal. The parental controls are included and works. The Trendnet protection appears to block unwanted attacks. However, it gets really hot with only my kids playing video games. Eventually, the 5G signal died. Support was responsive but I did not like that the product needed to be shipped to the manufacturer first at your own expense before they send a replacement. Other manufacturers will at least provide free shipping for repairs. I don’t recommend this router.

Greater than one weekAwesome router! Covers whole home well, has great customization options, and is more stylish than any other router on the market.

> 3 dayWhen I upgraded my wifi to 1gb my provider issued me a eero router. I read some reviews about it and thought meh, it’s nothing special. My direct connect speed was fine but wifi was lacking. I can across this router when it was on sale for $30. I thought I’d take a shot on it and worst case return it.

> 3 dayPicked this up to refresh my setup. Thought it had some features worth having. Had been running a Linksys E2500 for about 5 years when I bought this and it had always performed pretty well. I bought this based on the fact that it had high AND many reviews. Well, most people probably make their reviews within the first couple weeks.

> 3 dayI am running two of these connected by Ethernet backhaul off of an RT-AC88U. Its great having extra wired ports where they are installed, and they do an excellent job extending the wifi network seamlessly. Having them wired to the AC88U they provide plenty of speed and bandwidth to their clients. Set up was a little hookey following their instructions, but ultimately they work very well in the network, and they even seem to be updating their own firmware. Its a slick, drama free, system that works well behind the scenes. I wish their was an option to disable or dim the status lights, they are bright.

> 3 dayI have a 500 dollar asus gaming router (ax11000) and love it. Trying to pair it into a AI mesh mod is an absolute PIA. Spent an hour trying to mesh it without success very displease.
