AIMESCH is s joke. The speeds are 10 times less through the extender that the mian Asus router. Tried two different devices to validate. Very dissappointed.

I bought this about a year ago and it worked well until I tried to install TP-Link Kasa HS-103 wireless plugs. Previously I had installed several different TP-Link plugs and switches that worked, but the HS-103 knocks the Blue Cave guest wifi offline repeatedly and consistently. I tried to get support from Asus, but they were very reluctant to help and blamed the problem on TP-Link. Certainly TP-Link is doing something wrong, but it should not be possible to knock the router off the air. I have to reboot the router to get it back up. The TP-Link plugs work with other wifi routers without incident, but the HS103 will not work with Asus. Because of this problem, I abandoned them and used the ones that did work. I recently bought a HS200 switch and it exhibits exactly the same problem. When I connect it to the router, it immediately knocks the router offline and none of the devices on the guest network will work until I reboot the router.

Great router except it will not allow Chamberlin MyQ garage opener to connect via wifi. I have tried to dumb it down, but still will not allow it to connect. Contact Asus support, but was no help. Ended up returning it and continuing to use my old TPLink router.

Would not stay connected to the main router. Had to unplug and restart everytime to reconnect.

Set-up required a call to tech support. I wasnt thrilled with that because the first guy hung up on me. The second guy was not listening to me and just following the script. Once I got him to listen, we got things set up fine.

Used this with another ASUS router to create a mesh. Cleared up our Wi-Fi immediately.

Product worked fine for about 4 months, then started having issues. Constantly dropping and wouldnt re-connext and getting extremely hot. Would work when it felt like it until mknth 5 and completely died.

The router has only 1 USB port unlike the replaced N66U which had 2. Since I have 2 devices to connect, I promptly returned it. I did not turn it on to check anything else.

The router works great and the user interface is easy. The only criticism is the physical design/shape of the unit. Its an awkward design which can only stand up in one position. You cant hang it and you can lay it down. Also the antennas are very stiff and difficult to move. Requires a lot of force and they pop like youre about to break it.

Powered by 5G Wi-Fi , the 802.11ac chipset gives the RT-ACRH18 faster wireless speeds than N technology. At 2.4 GHz, it reaches 450 Mbps, while on the 5GHz band it blazes to 1300 Mbps. The upgraded bandwidth has the higher capacity you need to increase WiFi enjoyment at home. With notebooks, desktops, pads, and smartphones now all Wi-Fi-reliant, it"s time to  expand you connectivity.
