I used this to extend the range of my router but it drops the connection about once a week which i havd to set it up again and the devices that were connected to it. the wifi in the devices such as cameras are much more reliable and stay connected to the router than this junk. it prefers to be connected to the router by an ethernet cable but Im trying to extend the range of the router so I wouldnt want this sit next to the router.

I just love the way it looks and the wifi is much stronger now.

After setting the newest round of patches that came out in the last couple months, my wifi bands have gone in and out. At first just the box itself would reboot into some weird safe mode randomly, then a firmware update fixed that. The wifi reliability is still an issue. Ive waited 3 patched and still no fix. I also noticed he box runs very hot, which I presume is part of the issue. Ive had to place it next to an air conditioner vent (seemed to get fewer crashes). Ive owned another Asus router with the same home set up, no problem, worked like a champ. Decided to get this for added security, but it doesnt work and im outside the return window from when the problem showed up.

I Work in IT & Networking 25yrs now,buyer beware this router is garbage from hardware to firmware!!

AIMESCH is s joke. The speeds are 10 times less through the extender that the mian Asus router. Tried two different devices to validate. Very dissappointed.

Using the ASUS setup program was difficult. After setting up user name and password, I couldn’t connect. After a couple of tries the setup program no longer worked at all. I thought it was my lack of tech savy , but saw many others with same problem on line. Once I got it working it seems to perform as intended.

I liked the router. But was not satified with Ring security that we had installed. So I returned the Ring items to costco. But was told today by Amzn that I could not return the two routers. So I am stuck with these items. I feel you have an unfair policy here.

Required to expand WIFI signal with an ASUS router. ASUS makes it easy to add a MESH router to an existing system. Reasonable price for this router.

Initially seemed to work with my Asus AC68U router with AImesh, but after a few months it constantly drops its connection with the main router. Might be ok if it were wired, but total junk for me. If you want a mesh system, I would avoid Asus.

Purchased unit to add AP to network. Extremely poor performance was experienced with this unit. Would not maintain Wi-Fi connectivity and had very poor, inconsistent speed performance.
