I have two of these in a wired AI mesh backhaul. I updated to the latest firmware two months ago (recommended by Asus) Since the update the wireless drops every two days. I opened up a support ticket and they recommend resetting to the defaults, which I did and it do not help. I opened a new support case and they recommended I send them in for RMA. I would not buy until they gets the wireless issues resolved. I see other reviewer are having the same issue and Asus still hasnt done anything about it

My 20 USD router was pure trash, so I got this as an upgrade.

My primary use for this is as a wireless bridge for my desktop gaming PC. It has a clear line of sight to my main router (ASUS RT-AC88U, which works great), and this thing drops out ALL. THE. TIME. Some days it spends more time disconnected than otherwise.

Easy to set up and definitely increased signal strength

Intermittently cuts out. Since I unplugged it and just relied on the main wifi router (which I moved to center of house), the problem has stopped.

Would not stay connected to the main router. Had to unplug and restart everytime to reconnect.

Using this as a mesh WiFi system along with an Asus router and after 6 months it continually shuts itself down with no explanation. Have gone through all the troubleshooting and firmware updates with no resolution. Extremely frustrating.
