Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Put this into my Acer Nitro 5 laptop, switching out the 1TB HDD that was already in it. Got a SATA to USB-C connector to clone my system over and used the software provided by Samsung to do so. I was concerned, given previous reviews’ issues with the software, but as can be seen with the more recent reviews, Samsung has come far in their optimization of the SSDs and their supporting software. I’m several days into usage now of the SSD and I’ve encountered no problems so far. Cloning my system over was easy and fast with the USB-C connection instead of USB 3.0. Fantastic product for an outstanding price.

Swapped out a 1 TB HD in a Dell Inspiron 15 with Windows 10. Downloaded Samsungs Data Migration software and installed. Boot up and Windows Update used to take forever, sometimes requiring several reboots to complete. Disk access during start up was frequently near saturation. Boot time and updates now complete in seconds.Very easy install and setup.

Updated my old laptop with this ssd. Also updated to windows 10. Runs as good or better than when new

These are the only SSDs I will use. Samsung’s migration software with an external drive reader works great! Copy the drive, install, and you are on your way. Pro Tip, I’ve had issues with two machines booting after swapping drives. In both cases a reset of the BIOS to factory defaults fixed it.

Works great in my MacBook Pro 2013 starts up fast

Bought Samsung 860 EVO 1TB. Freakishly fast. Its sooo fast I have easily filled half of it. Go with the 1TB. I think youll be happier in the end because youll enjoy its storage speeds and you need to partition about 10% of its space to give it longevity anyway. It has made the heavy software I use for work so much easier to use and IT DOES support Rapid Mode. Beautiful.

The SSD itself is a solid unit, the Samsung software used to clone the old hard drive is trash. Expect to use some sort of other software. Other than that, works well!

I was looking to improve the load times of my games for my PS4 Playstation Pro and boy was I surprised at the difference in speed. The load times are so much faster (probably by about 10-12 sec) when loading my Assassins Creed game saves and also when scrolling through the main character attributes. This SSD was a Godsend!! The old OEM Toshiba HDD that my PS4 came with is nowhere near the speeds of this thing. It has taken out the frustration of waiting tireless for things to load. I will be testing its capabilities on a larger game such as Red Dead Redemption II next. Im already anticipating that the results will be the same- Spectacularly quick!! Get this if you are thinking of upgrading the OEM HDD to an SSD. You can probably get a better deal on Black Friday but why wait to save $20 or so. Do it now!!

I bought this as an upgrade for a small SSD operating system (Win10) boot drive. The drive seems to be quite fast and perhaps the best surprise is that Samsung has free drive cloning software available online that worked without a hitch.
