Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Super late to the party but never ended up checking it because i didnt notice an issue. But recently i happened to open my Samsung magician software to do a speed test to compare to a new m.2 drive. That is when I noticed the not genuine and the blazing speeds of 201mbs read and 192 mbs write. My 840evo does 3322 mbs read and 2777 mbs write. so significantly slower. I have since moved everything off of it and expect it to eventually fail.

Been running this for a year and it works well, nothing to complain about (fingers crossed)

I put this in an older laptop to replace the old hard drive. Made the laptop much quicker. I always buy the Samsung SSDs because their software for disk cloning is so easy to use (but it only works on Samsung disks).

Great product. Super easy to install and setup and easy transfer of data. Definitely should have bought 2 more or a tb instead.

Replacing my old hard drive with this sdd is like day & night....My 7 yr. old computer boots almost instantly..software downloads are much faster, like adding turbocharging to a car. Very happy

An hour or so with Macrium Free Edition to clone the drive over, and 5 minutes to swap it out. Post time is now incredible; like a new computer.

I was considering replacing my Dell E6430 (2014ish) laptop, (still looks new). As a habit, I frequently optimize (defragment) but pretty slow and time consuming. I would hardly ever use the laptop unless Im away (seldom) but I kinda like having it. The processor is 2 core/ 4 thread - not the fastest out there - but can easily handle basic tasks. I previously maxed the ram. Now wondering if a solid state hard drive would cut time spent processing upgrades and optimizing (much cheaper than replacing a laptop I seldom use). Turned out to be an amazing functionality speed boost and I picked up some additional hard drive space. Extremely pleased with this SSD upgrade!
