    My current laptop is over 6 years old. The battery is starting to go but the main thing was that it took a while to boot up and load application. Were talking about several minutes to become in a usable state. I decided to replace my 500GB HDD with this Samsung SSD and my oh my...I feel like I have a brand new laptop. From the time I hit the power button to boot up and sign in, Im on my desktop screen in less than 6 seconds.

    The SamSung data migration tool is also super convenient and easy to use. It took about 40 mins to transfer Windows 10 from my old HDD drive.

    I dont know why there is a battery life rating for this item since AFAIK it doesnt have one. Apart from that its been a very nice improvement to an eight year old laptop. Doubled the size of the disk--was 500GB, now 1TB and it boots up much faster and has no more moving parts--all in one well-priced purchase! Im happy. Now I want to get another one to add to my current laptop ;-)

    Made my mid 2012 MacBook Pro FAST!! Boot times, load times & great storage. Would recommend to anyone without an ssd installed. Was bummed my system was aging poorly & been so slow for so long, installed this and is lightyears faster. Highly recommend.

    One of the advantages to Samsung over other brands is Samsung provides cloning/migration/backup software that works with its drives.
