> 3 daySo far Ive probably purchased 50+ of these units for me and my clients personally I have in 3 systems, I was really surprised to see some of the one star reviews , Im not exaggerating about the amount of 50+, one thing I can say is Ive never used Samsungs utility to clone drives, I used and will continue to use Aomei to clone, most times via USB but also direct by disconnecting CD/DVD temporarily and using that connection, the only failure of all the installs/clones came from a client compressing his drive and found out thats a no no or at least it was at the time, if you want a major performance upgrade I highly recommend these drives, its like night and day difference, Ive installed in old core 2 Intels with the same results, Im also happy to say not one failure except for the compressed drive. So maybe the issue is with Samsungs cloning utility? Those of you that have recognition issues, right click on computer choose manage then disk management see if its listed in there, theres no need to initialize prior to cloning if using Aomei I do believe they have a free version for this purpose

> 3 dayI have a 6-year-old laptop I bought in December 2012 (an HP Pavilion with a Core i5-3210M, 8GB RAM, NVDIA graphics with 2GB memory, and a 750GB HDD that was about 25GB from being full, which was probably the root of most of my performance problems). It was never screaming fast, but it has been a nice little workhorse that has allowed me to edit photos and video and be productive with MS Office for several years.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a now too small 1TB Samsung SSD in my 2008 Mac Pro. Took a while to clone from the old one over to the new one, but was up and running pretty quickly with an extra 1TB of free space available now.

> 3 dayIts been a while since I have done a build of a new pc... last one I purchased from a box store and was highly disappointed. The Installation and setup of this SSD was really nice with no complications at all.

> 3 dayAll you need to know is there is no better. Pay the extra money and just get Samsung when it comes to storage. These things are tanks and literally last forever.

> 3 dayI got this for 100$ so I was ecstatic as it was 50% off. The SSD works perfectly had runs games faster than my HDD. is nice and small and fits perfectly in the back of my pc would gladly buy another one when I need more storage.

> 3 dayI purchased a 500GB Samsung EVO last July. My 7-year-old Acer V3-771G laptop with 16GB of RAM, an i7 CPU and a secondary NVidia GT 650M GPU with Linux Kubuntu took about 2 1/2 minutes to boot to a working desktop with the old 5,000 RPM WD HD. I installed the EVO and used BTRFS as the filesystem. I now get a working desktop in 18 seconds. Most applications snap open. Its like I bought a brand new ultrafast gaming laptop! Virtual distros installed via KVM snap to life and run almost as fast as Kubuntu.

Greater than one week3/28/2019 Review for 250GB: My hard drive are slow to load and now it run faster with SSD. I use hard drive caddy to install 2nd drive to use SSD. SATA 3 full speed with caddy. I have no problem to install on my laptop. You must wipe your hard drive before you can boot into SSD with caddy. And it worked perfectly for HP Laptop 15. I am very pleased.

> 3 dayRunning 4x 1TB in Raid 0, and three 500G for Win OS. Easy to install with Samsung disk migrator and test with Magician. Fast. PCs are much quieter with SSD!
