> 3 dayAs another reviewer (Phatty) noted, on the first use the tip of the drive bolt fractured. It should be noted that there was minimal force involved in pressing out the pin. This type of failure is indicative of improper heat treating. However, I was able to continue using the tool to press out 3 more pins to complete the job but the fracturing got progressively worse. I filled out a contact us form on the manufacturers web site 2 weeks ago but havent received a response. They now have a replacement part available [...] for $8 but I fail to see why I should have to pay for a defective part. I realize that sometimes defective products get out on the shelves and when a manufacturer makes good on the product, I dont hold it against them. But when Im totally ignored, thats the last time I buy their products.

> 3 dayThis little tool is exactly what the home mechanic needs to connect and break endless chain. Works well and is very tough.

> 3 dayUsed to do a first-time chain replacement and worked amazingly well on a well-worn chain. Being my first time I did mess up the riveting process but that was on me skipping a step along the way (a very hard one to miss but I did). The product feels very sturdy and very solid, I would argue the price is still a tad excessive but I expect it will last for the rest of my life and definitely the lives of many chains and bikes. Would buy again.

Greater than one weekI must have received Paul Vs broken tool. Tool I received was obviously USED and BROKEN. Attached is a photo taken minutes after opening package. So much for putting on my chain today. Think Ill spend the extra bucks for the RK chain tool.

> 3 dayI gave it four stars because it does the job. For an easy to use portable chain brake and presser its very good, the instructions are easy to follow and anyone can use it. You will need a spanner or socket set to use properly and a strong hand but it does the job very well. Thank you from Australia

> 3 daySo far, so good. I had analysis paralysis trying to pick a chain tool for my project of lengthening my 530 chain. I finally chose this one as it had good reviews for the price, and came with an extra extractor pin in case I messed up. First time using a chain tool ever, I extracted 4 pins and riveted 4 pins, no damage to the tool. Very satisfied so far.
