26-10-2024It just works. Dont waste your time trying to use the cheaper options. Will rivet either type of master link you will run into.

> 3 dayI used this for pressing and riveting the master link of my Primary Drive (brand) chain for my KTM 1090 R. I knocked off a half star because there was rust build up around the bolts. Otherwise very solid tool if you own motorcycles with various types of chains. Love the motion pro stuff!

> 3 dayThe tool works well. It is solid and well made. I filed off the heads of the rivet before using the breaker. The press and flair functions work well and the tool is easy to use.

> 3 dayI like this kit. Busted the chain breaker point (or whatever its called) on the last one due to misalignment. This one works great and is very simple to use due to the writing on it.

Greater than one weekPosting for the benefit of adventure riders who might consider packing this tool for an extended ride including off-road. Note, its quite heavy. Dont have an exact weight but its significant and too heavy for my purposes. One website puts the weight at 3.2 pounds, which is probably in the ballpark. Im gearing up for a months-long ride through Africa and Asia and its more weight than Im willing to carry. I count grams pretty zealously for a ride like this, so take that into account. Otherwise, the tool seemed great. Sturdy and appears well designed. Though I returned it, Im giving five stars based on impressions and my experience with other MotionPro products. Ill pack the much lighter, though less functional, Motion Pro 08-001 Chain Breaker, which Ive had good experiences in the past.
