Meta Portal TV - Big Screen Smart Video Calling for Group Calls on Your TV

Light on the features, great to use as photo frame, im a photographer and I can pick my photo albums to slideshow. you can say HEY PORTAL and will do frame things, or ALEXA and works like another pod. sound is great. no netflix but yes youtube over their web browser. I paid $60

I use this to video chat with my girlfriend, who also has a portal. There is almost always an echo of my voice and random shuffling sounds that are not originating from either user. This was not a problem when she was using a laptop - only when we started portal-to-portal calls. Changing the audio settings or position of the unit did not help.

We bought this in hopes of using to keep in touch with out of state friends and we’re disappointed. Reception is shorty at best. Half the time the volume cuts out and the other half the picture freezes. We have great connection so we shouldn’t have this much trouble. Disappointed overall.

This is a good concept, of having one device that can be used for most of your communication. The 10” version of this product is very stable. Did not have a good experience with the 14” plus model. Maybe it was the product I received but the product kept hanging and and would get irresponsive. Only way to get it to work again was to unplug and plug it back in.

The visuals became fuzzy after 2 weeks. I had to return it. Otherwise it was all right.

I really like this product

As of now Im quite pleased. Easy and simple to use, if your not a tech person like me its great. Looks very nice on my desk, plays my music, I can look at my pictures and the audio and video both are quite good. I got it while it was on sale which is a plus.

We bought this in the dredges of COVID isolation thinking we will do a lot of video chatting in the future, but unless everyone you know, want to know and work with is on Facebook AND has downloaded the Messenger app then this device will become another digital picture frame. I tried using it a few times with friends and after an hour of trying to get everyone to download apps, turn camera on in settings and add them as contacts (and they STILL didnt show up in my contacts on the portal) we all ditched the effort and did a Zoom call....because its the same thing but EASIER. I wish I could get my money back :-(

Amazing. Camera picks up new movement in the room and adjusts to the number of people. Cool product.

This device is amazing and cant wait to use with the grandbabies....Easy to set up!!!
