Meta Portal TV - Big Screen Smart Video Calling for Group Calls on Your TV

I was tired of talking to my family and looking at the ceiling. Or even worse, my nieces mouth. Now I can have a family time, long distance without getting dizzy. The camera senses movement and will pan around. It’s incredible.

It’s the best portal ever.

We were using this technology at our church to have hybrid services when we returned to the chapel. While this experiment was still in progress I purchased the Facebook Portal TV. Even though I made couple of mistakes installing the unit, it is actually easy to install and use. The tracking of the speaker and expanding a view when another person joins the group worked as advertised.

I was hoping to stream video sites such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Discovery+, but I guess you havent added any of these to the lineup which I think you should.

The kids call their grandparents all the time and love the virtual storytime feature! And I do happy hour with the boys.

Stopped charging randomly. For this price point, should last way longer. Super disappointed :(

Revised - must be plugged directly into tv hdmi port 1 to work, no idea why as all other devices dont care and all ports on this tv are the same spec but thats what fixed it. No source switches or couplers in line making it hard to use on a more complex av system.

This is one of my favorite devices. Does anyone know how we can use it, once Portal is no longer supported? We will really miss it.

Maybe I should have bought the warranty.
