> 3 dayAs you can see the inside area has an opening which reads “do not allow water to enter through the opening”, yet it’s part of the unit that develops slime which needs to be cleaned weekly. Having this opening in such a inconvenient area is next to impossible NOT to get water into the opening. Poorly designed. Consider purchasing a different humidifier that is easy to clean without damaging the motor

> 3 dayGets the job done. First one I’ve owned and used regularly (recent transplant from the coast, so never needed it before) and it’s definitely easy to use. The options in the app control make it easy to set and forget.

Greater than one weekIve owned around 5 different humidifiers in the last 30 years. This is one is by for the best Ive ever used. I use mine in the bedroom to help with dryness and allergies. It is extremely quiet. If you are awake in the middle of the night you might hear an occasional brief but very quiet gurgle (air bubble). Set the desired humidity level and it will cycle on and off to keep it there. I have mine set at 55% humidity and it seems perfect for me. Mine runs around 10 hours a day and I have to refill it every 5 days or so. I use reverse osmosis filtered water and there is no musty smell in the tank. Ive been using it 4 months and hope it lasts. I did purchase the extended warranty through Amazon just in case.

> 3 dayMy old humidifier is over 10 years old, so when I started looking for a replacement, I had specific things I wanted. It had to be quiet, easy to fill, easy to keep clean. The new humidifier has a different foot print, but holds enough water to run for 12 hours without a problem. It is easy to fill and easy to maneuver - water is heavy after all. The only issue Ive had is that if I am not paying attention, I can pinch my arm as I install the water container. The controls are easy to use and quiet. Very quiet. I love the timer feature, too. It saves the hassle of keeping an eye on the unit in case the water container is empty. I opted to not have the smart app on my phone. I dont believe it is necessary and I chose to reduce potential privacy issues by not getting the unit that requires it. All things considered, this has been my best purchase of 2022!

> 3 dayIn-built hygrometer is woeful. I have two different hygrometers, one is +/- 5% accuracy and the other is +/- 1% accuracy, both of which are usually within 2-3% reading of each other. The Levoit’s in-built hygrometer reading is woefully inaccurate: when the unit is on, it fluctuates wildly in a +/- 10% band around the reading of my two hygrometers; when off, it is always a solid 10% or more below. Worse, the (incorrect) reading can go from 40% to 20% the moment you turn off the unit—doesn’t make sense at all. Because of this inaccuracy, while the auto function is nice in theory, it is actually useless in practice because the unit automatically turns off and on based on faulty readings and not based on the actual humidity. Also, the minimum target humidity is 40%, which can hardly be reached on a dry winter day, so “auto” is effectively “always on”. Cool mist is ineffective. I have two hygrometers to check it. Warm mist is ok. Maximum warm mist is the setting I’ve been using. I can see the humidity budge by maybe about 3-4% in my 300 sq ft space, better than nothing. However, for the amount of logistics around getting distilled water for the unit, it’s not effective enough for me to justify continuing to use this unit.

> 3 dayWe purchased 3 of these 2 years ago. They all continue to work well. They are easy to clean which has made me more likely to clean them than any other humidifier I’ve ever had. During our recent move, I somehow lost a gasket to one of the basins. Without the gasket, the basin leaks everywhere which effectively means I couldn’t use the machine. I contacted Levoit to buy a replacement part. Although they do not sell or even produce parts for replace, the rep said she would send me one as soon as she could get one. After a couple months, I assumed it was never coming, but today it arrived! I’m utterly impressed that she was willing to keep an eye out for the part for this long and mailed to me free of charge. It’s rare to find home electronics that work well for years *and* have good customer service. I totally recommend these.

> 3 dayLove this humidifier. I moved to a very dry climate after living all my life in a very humid one. I knew I’d need this, because on prior visits I’d found it difficult to sleep (I have a cpap with a humidifier but the thing would completely drain in the middle of the night even on the lowest setting with how dry my area is). With this humidifier, I sleep very well. My cpap doesn’t completely dry out overnight. It keeps the humidity level comfortable for me. I like the ability to set a timer and to switch between cool and warm humidity. I very rarely need to use it on a high setting, so one tank full gets me through a couple nights. Which is nice because naturally it is a bit heavy to lift when full. I haven’t had any of the issues other people have mentioned in reviews. Apart from the rubber gasket slipping and leaking once, but that was easily fixed by replacing it back where it should be. It’s not tricky to clean either. I use reg tap water for the tank, and while there is a bit of a residue left on the outside of the tank and surrounding areas from the high mineral content, it’s not enough to bother me and is still fairly easy to clean off the machine and surrounding area. I don’t have it placed on the ground or on a wooden table. I don’t recommend that. As the mist will still land on surrounding areas. I had it on a glass table for some time and the water did leave a white residue behind, but it was still cleanable. However I found a little metal stand for it and that works best for me. I could avoid the residue with distilled water, but I prefer not to buy so much plastic bottled water, even with how inexpensive it is. However it is an option others might be fine with. I’d rather clean a little more often than go through so much plastic. The inside of the tank is easily cleaned with a little soap and water too. Haven’t had any problems with smell or mold in the six months or so I’ve had it. I run a little diluted plain vinegar or lemon juice through occasionally as well. I LOVE the ability to turn off the display. This was a must for me when deciding what model to buy. We have far too many electronic things in our lives making every room glow in the dark. I like it dark and quiet when I sleep. And I can honestly say this machine is also fairly quiet and fits the bill for not glowing brightly all night The little remote is nice too. No need to get out of bed to adjust anything or turn off the display. All in all the device fits my lifestyle perfectly. I recommend it as a good product to invest in if you’re needing more humidity in your home.

> 3 dayAfter 14 months of nightly use our Levoit humidifier failed. I contacted the Levoit support group and after sending them a video documenting the problem they sent a replacement humidifier. Great job!
