Love it, better than the $30 humidifiers. Easy to use, I love that you can make the mist warm

Ok, so this thing took some figuring out and a call to CS to figure out how to make this effective. I read some of the reviews that the humidity gage was off so I bought 3 small humidity readers for our room to see how those compared to the reading on the humidifier. You HAVE to make sure the directional circles are BOTH pointing AWAY from the sensor to get an accurate reading, otherwise it’ll read anywhere from 10-20% TOO HIGH. The sensor is on the side near the essential oil thingy so I have this on the very front edge of my dresser facing sideways with the essential oil thing facing the wall. Since I moved it here and spent a few days tinkering w the mist direction, the other sensors in our room and the humidifier have been almost dead on. Oh also, you’ll need to be mindful of where the air flow in your space is guiding the mist because that will also play into how you need to position the directional circles. NEEDS TO BE ELEVATED! We have a small table and that didn’t seem to allow the mist to spread around well enough so I put in on the dresser. With the most recent change I made I may try this again though because... ... USE warm/hot mist. At least that’s what we needed to do to get the humidity to raise more than just 5%. Once I increased the temp (I have it set to full temp and full mist) we can easily get to our desired humidity, which for my partner and I is 50%. I set it at 55% so grant once it drops to 50% it turns on again. Our room at the moment, naturally, is between 29-35% and that’s just too dry for both of us and the cool mist *maybe* got it to 40%. The hotter mist shoots out much higher and stays in the air much longer so I *may* try using that small table again since it’s an ugly eyesore on my dresser. Some other things the instructions recommend, which I didn’t pay attention to until after our first night - def don’t put it near windows bcs even double pane can suck out stuff and it makes it less effective. Also we had them about 5’ from our only two heater vents so i moved it to a location prob 12’ away from those and also, consequently, our bay windows. Now we’re a few nights in and waking up to 50-55% humidity wo dry sinuses and scratchy throats so I feel confident in recycling the box now. For reference, our master bedroom is about 450-500sqft and has a very open floor plan. It’s long and goes directly from our bedroom into an open hall that has our small walk in closet, which has no doors, and at the end of the hall it opens into our bathroom. The only door goes to the toilet room, which is at the furthest corner so we have a pretty long space that can take up the humidity. As for noise, the warm mist is louder than the cool but it’s not a bother to me or my partner. We have an air purifier on a low setting near my corner of the room too bcs I need constant white noise and enjoy clean air and it’s not much louder than that. The woman I spoke to in customer service was super friendly too and def helped me troubleshoot getting the humidity to be in the 50-55 range.

Easy to fill. Quiet. Only reason I didnt give five stars is it takes a lot to learn the functions of the control buttons. Some buttons have multiple functions. Operation is not use friendly.

Does it’s job but a bit of a pain to clean. I run it almost constantly during fall and winter. Needs a deep vinegar cleaning almost weekly even when using purified water. Otherwise no complaints.

Pros- awesome unit, mostly quiet, nice capacity. Cons- not suitable for elderly, as you got to toss a full 6l plastic vat like a pizza to reinstall after filling. Also, where the cutout is for the steam pointer, and handle, there are two 90 degree angles of plastic which could have been rounded for safer operation when handling while filling.. Sides that, it is keeking ass and taking names in my apt, love it. PLants love it.

It’s quite and controllable with phone app. Puts out cool mist or warm steam. Duel zone nozzle. Can turn off or on anywhere you have internet with the app.

My last humidifier was just too gunky to use anymore, as its impossible to clean the tank. Vinegar just doesnt do it. The auto feature on the Levoit will shut it off when it reaches 60% and I can see why. I ran mine at the highest mist setting and it was getting to 69%, but the carpet nearby was getting damp, (The unit sits on the corner edge of my dresser.) I have an Airthings sensor across the room from it and it read as high as 63%, so this thing does do the job. My bedroom is 14 by 14 with a 13 high ceiling. I looked at the APP and dont see it even worthwhile to add another password to my black book. Some Internet gadgets are okay, but most things will include a remote if its worthwhile to have one. Theres hardly any adjustments necessary for the humidifier; just press the A for auto mode and forget it. Neither do I see a need for a Sleep function as you cant hear it running anyway. Just hit the A and walk away. I like how easy this will be to clean, unlike my last one. Theres only a few areas in the lower part under the tank where youll need the small brush they provide, but at least you can stick you hand in the tank to clean the sides and bottom. I saw people complaining about the white dust from minerals. You should NEVER use tap water as you are breathing this stuff. Also, do NOT put alcohol in the water to sanitize it, not even drinking alcohol, as breathing it you will super absorb it into your bloodstream, and thats NOT a good thing. I installed an under the counter Reverse Osmosis unit that removes all the minerals and other things, and use this for the humidifier. So no white dust problem here. Buying distilled water is too expensive for daily use. It would be more economical to install a filtering system that lasts a lifetime. (On a side note, Las Vegas recycles their water and it tastes horrible, so I distill the water from my RO system to make it drinkable. Particle testers show the water particle levels after distilling are too low to read, so now I feel its safe to drink.)

Great Product, does everything its supposed to. Description describes it to a tee. Great Customer service. Had an issue with the remote. They immediately replaced it.

Gets the job done. First one I’ve owned and used regularly (recent transplant from the coast, so never needed it before) and it’s definitely easy to use. The options in the app control make it easy to set and forget.
