> 3 dayWe liked this so much, we got 2. One for each of my kids’ bedroom. Holds enough water so that we don’t have to change it every night.

Greater than one weekI looked through EVERY humidifier on Amazon searching for one with warm mist that wouldnt send humidity right up into the air only to have it immediately fall back down into a puddle on the ground (been there/done that!). I finally settled on this one and bought it and I LOVE THIS ONE. First of all, it is easy to fill. Top filling. No more filling a tank and carrying it to the humidifier and having to flip it upside down to insert it into the machine! Also the carrying handle is well-placed making it well-balanced. You dont feel like its going to tip frontwards or backwards. Second, when you pull it out of the machine, there is very little excess water that will drip when youre carrying it to refill it (if thats what you choose to do. I just use a pitcher but you do you). Just a dab of a paper towel and youre good to go. Third, this thing cranks out the moisture - in a nice vapor - that then somehow actually gets absorbed into the air (wonder of wonders!) and does not rain right back down onto my laminate flooring!!!! Lastly, its quiet, and it runs for quite a while on a full tank on high (around 8 hours or so?). Just buy the dang thing!! I truly do love it!!

> 3 dayThe Water Tank started to leak after I filled it up from the bottom last night. I have had this unit for about 2 weeks and it has been great and helps me sleep better. Unfortunately when I screwed on the cap and turned it over it started to leak quite a bit. Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to over tighten? Could a gasket or something similar have fallen out? Please help. I wrote to LEVOIT and asked about getting a new gasket sent to me but that part wasnt available. Skyler was my contact and he sent me the exact inner and outer diameters and thickness of the silicone gasket. I searched and found similar but not exact gaskets and tried them to see if they would fix the leaking water. Unfortunately with water, close is not close enough. I was about to cut the gasket into 3 pieces and superglue them to the cap to seal it permanently. I knew by doing this I was going to ruin the cap if it didnt work. I asked Skyler if they could send me the whole cap. He said he would ask and a few days later Skyler said they had one and it was on its way to me. I received it a couple of days ago and I tried it out and it worked perfectly. I ran it for a couple of nights and there were no leaks!! I find that I sleep much better when I have the LEVOIT Humidifier running. Thanks to Skyler and LEVOIT!! Excellent customer service!!

Greater than one weekPros- awesome unit, mostly quiet, nice capacity. Cons- not suitable for elderly, as you got to toss a full 6l plastic vat like a pizza to reinstall after filling. Also, where the cutout is for the steam pointer, and handle, there are two 90 degree angles of plastic which could have been rounded for safer operation when handling while filling.. Sides that, it is keeking ass and taking names in my apt, love it. PLants love it.

> 3 dayIve had the humidifier for a few months and loving it. With the wifi function, its very efficient. I just wish Levoit would provide instructions on how to wash and clean the top cover where the steam comes out.

Greater than one weekMy last humidifier was just too gunky to use anymore, as its impossible to clean the tank. Vinegar just doesnt do it. The auto feature on the Levoit will shut it off when it reaches 60% and I can see why. I ran mine at the highest mist setting and it was getting to 69%, but the carpet nearby was getting damp, (The unit sits on the corner edge of my dresser.) I have an Airthings sensor across the room from it and it read as high as 63%, so this thing does do the job. My bedroom is 14 by 14 with a 13 high ceiling. I looked at the APP and dont see it even worthwhile to add another password to my black book. Some Internet gadgets are okay, but most things will include a remote if its worthwhile to have one. Theres hardly any adjustments necessary for the humidifier; just press the A for auto mode and forget it. Neither do I see a need for a Sleep function as you cant hear it running anyway. Just hit the A and walk away. I like how easy this will be to clean, unlike my last one. Theres only a few areas in the lower part under the tank where youll need the small brush they provide, but at least you can stick you hand in the tank to clean the sides and bottom. I saw people complaining about the white dust from minerals. You should NEVER use tap water as you are breathing this stuff. Also, do NOT put alcohol in the water to sanitize it, not even drinking alcohol, as breathing it you will super absorb it into your bloodstream, and thats NOT a good thing. I installed an under the counter Reverse Osmosis unit that removes all the minerals and other things, and use this for the humidifier. So no white dust problem here. Buying distilled water is too expensive for daily use. It would be more economical to install a filtering system that lasts a lifetime. (On a side note, Las Vegas recycles their water and it tastes horrible, so I distill the water from my RO system to make it drinkable. Particle testers show the water particle levels after distilling are too low to read, so now I feel its safe to drink.)
