You can make it work as long as you want to maintain a very narrow humidity range. For instance, when the humidity is maintained at 50% +/- 5%, you can get the device to read fairly accurately by using the calibration function and adjusting for the difference between actual humidity and the humidity that the probe detects. But when you want to maintain a humidity of 65% +/- 5%, you have to go through the calibration process again because the probe is not linier. It is way off. I will contact the company and update this review later. Ive had this device for about a week now and I contacted Amazon for assistance. A day later I received an email from the manufacturer asking for details about the lack of accuracy and linearity. They gave me instructions that allowed me to clear the internal settings and then reload the settings, by pressing the buttons in a special sequence while unplugging the device. It worked wonders and the device is working fine. Great support from the manufacturer and Amazon.

As stated is decent, need to calibrate initially, do not rely on it being remotely close. And check calibration every couple months as it does drift out of calibration.

I purchased my InkBird IHC-200 February 2022. I have multiple InkBird products and count on them for accuracy and reliability. My IHC-200 had a fatal malfunction, this was past the warranty period. InkBird did not even blink twice before sending me a replacement. Customer service is a priority for me when I decide to purchase from a company. I will continue to do business with InkBird without any reservations. Thanks InkBird.

The high alarm cant be turned off, so if your using it to regulate humidity above 80% without a dehumidifier, the thing doesnt stop beeping. Not the best

Save money and purchase this inkbird product. Inexpensive, works great, east to set up and compared to other manufacturers, they are fairly priced.

I use this during the winter months to keep the bedroom at a steady humidity to not be overly dry or humid. I have not used the “dehumidify” plug but that’s a good option to have. I had an issue with the unit and the company support was extremely helpful and responsive. I bought more of these for each room humidifier. The accuracy matches other smart sensors and turn on when needed. I like that a range can be set so the unit doesn’t constantly cycle.

Iworked well for about 3 months in an 80% humidity enviroment. It then began giving eratic measurements or sticking on a false temp untill i jiggled probe wire. Which was not ideal when counting on humidity kicking back on when away. It barely worked when i stored it away 5 months. I just gotit back out to use it and it gave me the error screen after 1 day. Kind of dissapointed. I was thinking if i treated it well it would do job for long time with maybe needing to replace sensor once a year. I guess the relay stopss working after repeated on offs. I hope im still under warranty period but im unsure of length .
