After a couple months I get “ERR” on the screen. It’s probably something that I did so idk

No real complaints, some of the abbreviations in the LED display could be clearer, I have to look up till I memorize but otherwise does the job. I have to say the sensor is very responsive, as soon as I open the door to the terrarium it immediately sense is a change in humidity and activates the humidifier connected to it

I bought this and a humidifier to upgrade my oyster mushroom growing setup. Compared to spritzing with a spray bottle throughout the day, this is luxury. I calibrated the sensor, along with a seperate hygrometer that records data logs, and everything seems to maintain humidity accurately. I kind of wish the alarm was louder. My setup is in the basement, so the alarm is probably fine for other situations. Other than the alarm volume, I have nothing but praise for the device. It does what I need, its not expensive, simple setup... I would definitely buy another Inkbird product.

I use this during the winter months to keep the bedroom at a steady humidity to not be overly dry or humid. I have not used the “dehumidify” plug but that’s a good option to have. I had an issue with the unit and the company support was extremely helpful and responsive. I bought more of these for each room humidifier. The accuracy matches other smart sensors and turn on when needed. I like that a range can be set so the unit doesn’t constantly cycle.

Despite the odd brand name and surprisingly low price, this thing is excellent. If youre not a techie you might find the settings menu bewildering. I have HVAC background so cryptic menus like this are old hat. Accurate remote humidity sensor. Makes a slight but noticeable whine like in its power supply. Power cord is pretty thin so its a bit worrisome plugging in a high-current device.

I bought this to cycle my console humidifier because the onboard humidistat failed. I used the calibration to roughly calibrate the unit. I keep gauges throughout the house so the actual set point is a reference setting but it is still real close in the end. Keeps the humidity within 1% to 2% in my application and environment. I purchased a second for my dehumidifier in the basement to be used in the summer months. If these continue to work without failure I will upgrade to 5 stars because they do work.

We purchased 1 initially to control the humidity in a 5x5 grow tent that was consentally either at >98% or <20% no matter how we ran our humidifier, fans, and exhaust fan. Received the controller and immediately set it up. We live in a very dry climate and have no need to use a dehumidifier in this particular tent. Set work 1 (again not using work 2) to 58% with an 8% range. And just like magic we had 48 hours of perfect humidity. Decided to buy 2 more for our flower tent and drying tent. Set them up and calibrated 1 because it was a little off. Almost immediately started having problems with our drying tent. Couldnt get it keep the humidity above 25% (even the unit itself was showing low) when the humidifier was plugged into the controller, but if we run the humidifier directly into an outlet it would climb up approximately. The flowering tent isnt holding the settings/% we program. It goes right back to default of 50% with a 5% range. Luckily its default is close to what we need, but we shouldnt have to be forced to keep it that way. It completely defeats the purpose of having this all together. Now, on day 5 we wake up to or our original controller in our vegetative tent not functioning and running to humidifier all the time. It was 99% in there, even though the controller is still show our 58% with 8% range. I tried changing it down to 50% and 5% and the unit goes right back to showing 58% and 8%. So, now we have 3 controllers and not a single 1 is working as it should. I am going to replace these 3 as defective and try again with their replacements but I dont have much hope that they will do what theyre supposed to do. Will probably end up with 0/6 and will update after the replacements get here and are set up.

This humidity controller is OK when it functions as intended. Programming is relatively easy and it seems consistent. However after a few weeks I started getting an ER- code. The device emits a loud tone when this happens and ceases to function. After inspecting the device I found nothing amiss with the setup. After an hour or so the unit clicked back on and resumed normal function. This pattern continued and increased in regularity resulting in semi-regular humidity dips and as a result the plants suffered greatly. This behavior became more and more regular as use of the device continued. Eventually the ER- would not clear and the device was removed from use. Upon further inspection and disassembly of the sensor whip it appears as though one of the leads was not seated all of the way into the connector, resulting a short and the ER code. After reseating the lead the device was tested and functioned per normal. That sensor whip contains a strain reduction loop which the sensor cable wraps around prior to reaching the sensor. While this is a nice feature... it results in the leads being almost taught within the sensor enclosure and likely was the root of the failure I experienced.

Update: I had some problems with the sensor accuracy. Inkbird sent out a new sensor, which was an easy switch out and the customer service was EXCELLENT! THANK YOU Cassie!!! So most of the negative reviews complain about the alarm. I bought this for mycology which requires high humidity levels. The alarm was driving me nuts until I simply moved the sensor higher up near the top of the fruiting chamber. I also calibrated the the sensor on the humidifier down by a few degrees. Its been good since moving the sensor. It has been very challenging trying to dial in humidity levels but that isnt the fault of Inkbird. In fact, this humidistat made it possible.
