If you are dealing with a situation with high humidity, this unit will without fail alarm and turn off your dehumidifier / fan, making it mostly useless. You cannot set the unit to not alarm, so you will have to listen to it blearing, knowing that you now have to manually have to get power to your dehumidifier / fan. You can set the calibration down by a max of -10%, and then set your dehumidify set point down a corresponding -10%, but amazingly it will STILL alarm at high humidity and shut off your dehumidifier / fan. Amazingly disappointing.

Iworked well for about 3 months in an 80% humidity enviroment. It then began giving eratic measurements or sticking on a false temp untill i jiggled probe wire. Which was not ideal when counting on humidity kicking back on when away. It barely worked when i stored it away 5 months. I just gotit back out to use it and it gave me the error screen after 1 day. Kind of dissapointed. I was thinking if i treated it well it would do job for long time with maybe needing to replace sensor once a year. I guess the relay stopss working after repeated on offs. I hope im still under warranty period but im unsure of length .

A bit confusing on the instructions, and was off by about 6%, but get the right settings and youre golden. I used this for a 30 gallon crested gecko enclosure and it works perfectly. Keeps its settings after the power goes out.

I bought this and a humidifier to upgrade my oyster mushroom growing setup. Compared to spritzing with a spray bottle throughout the day, this is luxury. I calibrated the sensor, along with a seperate hygrometer that records data logs, and everything seems to maintain humidity accurately. I kind of wish the alarm was louder. My setup is in the basement, so the alarm is probably fine for other situations. Other than the alarm volume, I have nothing but praise for the device. It does what I need, its not expensive, simple setup... I would definitely buy another Inkbird product.

This device works very well for my purpose of controlling a dessicant dehumidifier. I use this dehumidifier in a large box I built to dry the soundboards for the harps I make. Previous to purchasing this controller I used a humidity/temperature controller that one would attach to a wall in your home or office. This previous controller was awful at gauging the relative humidity in the box or a small room. It required that I constantly keep checking its measured RH to that of a separate, small humidity/temperature measuring device that seems to work very well and can be checked and adjusted fairly easily. This new humidity controller is designed very smartly and its measurements of RH seem to correspond very closely with the small measuring device, unlike the previous controller I used. Also very nice is the fact that I can now have this controller OUTSIDE of the box with the soundboard and dessicant dehumidifier. It has a short cable with an AC receptacle that the dehumidifier can be plugged into, but the actual humidity measuring device is attached to the controller via a fairly long cable. I have the humidity measuring device inside the box, and the AC cord for the dessicant dehumidifier comes out of the box to be plugged into the short cable off of this humidity controller. So I can easily check the RH inside the box without having to open up the box (and thereby raise the RH level). And you can adjust the controller to automatically turn on when the RH reaches 1% to 5% above the desired RH level set on the controller. The only thing I do not like about this device is the god AWFUL english instructions! Can the people at the company in China who make this controller please hire someone who can write clear understandable english, PLEASE!! You will eventually make sense of their nearly non-sensical instructions, but it does take awhile. Just so you know, their differential RH level means how far above the target RH the actual RH will get before the device turns on. You can set this differential RH level for 1% to 5% over the target RH level.

Not the most obvious way to make settings, but once you get it, it makes sense. Works as advertised so far (I have 2 of these on different humidors and both work fine). Readings match separate humidity sensors closely.

I bought the humidifier controller for my grow tent where I am growing gourmet mushrooms. It has an outlet (Work1) for the humidifier and one (Work2) for either an exhaust fan or a dehumidifier. However, when the humidity reached the cut off point, the fan wouldnt kick in to lower the humidity, which just kept climbing until it reached the limit (99%) and then the alarm went off. I contacted Inkbird and when I explained the problem—without hesitation—they said they would sent me a new one, which I got today. Good customer service is almost obsolete these days, so I really appreciate Inkbird! Thanks. I hope this one works ok.

I use it to control an old wick-type room humidifier. All I had to do was plug it in and plug the humidifier into one of the outlets (the other outlet would accept a dehumidifier so you could use both). The instructions for set up require a very close reading, but they are appropriate for the device. You set the desired percent-humidity and the differential; i.e., how far below the desired percent will trigger your humidifier. The differential was pre-set at five percent which was far too great; I re-set it to one percent, the minimum. Now the humidifier shuts off at 35.0% and starts again at 34.0%. The device has been running constantly for about a month, now, and is doing a perfect job.

I purchased my InkBird IHC-200 February 2022. I have multiple InkBird products and count on them for accuracy and reliability. My IHC-200 had a fatal malfunction, this was past the warranty period. InkBird did not even blink twice before sending me a replacement. Customer service is a priority for me when I decide to purchase from a company. I will continue to do business with InkBird without any reservations. Thanks InkBird.
