> 3 dayOur initial goal in purchasing this unit was to maintain our terrariums high humidity levels, and to run a mister/fogger/water circulator when humidity dropped below 80%. Instead, this unit has spent most of the year unplugged and useless. This is due to the units inability to handle high humidity environments. If the terrarium reaches 100% relative humidity, the unit sounds an alarm. Note, this will tend to occur naturally in any high humidity terrarium when the air cools in the evening. Cooling will reduce the dew point until relative humidity hits 100% and condensation forms on the interior glass. If you have ever seen condensation on your terrarium glass, then you too, have experienced 100% humidity in part of your enclosure. Per the support response, there is no way to disable the alarm. The unit allows you to set a range up to 99% humidity, but if it crosses that threshold, *blang-blang-blang* The alarm sounds. (And personally, I dislike being awoken at 3am in the morning by a needless alarm.) When asked for the reasoning, it was explained that the unit does not handle 100% humidity because the probe is not waterproof nor designed for immersion. This answer clearly shows that the manufacturer has zero understanding of the basic principles of humidity, dew point, condensation vs immersion, nor fundamentals of natural science. We are left with two options... 1) Keep our humidity lower, putting all of our living creatures in our habitat at risk of it getting to dry. 2) Discontinue use and purchase another brand and model. (Obviously, we are going to go with the latter option.) This unit is fine for any dryer terrariums. However, if you have have a high humidity or tropical rainforest type terrarium, I highly recommend that you DO NOT buy this unit.

> 3 dayI love my humidity controller. It works perfectly for maintaining the perfect humidity in my terrarium. I’ve tested it against other Hygrometers, and it’s pretty accurate, plus you can tune it. Recently used it to run a room humidifier, to increase the humidity in the bedroom at night. The possibilities are endless! I wish it had some smart integration, I would like to see a historical graph over time. Also, disabling the Alarm for high or low Humidity would be nice as well.

> 3 dayI use this during the winter months to keep the bedroom at a steady humidity to not be overly dry or humid. I have not used the “dehumidify” plug but that’s a good option to have. I had an issue with the unit and the company support was extremely helpful and responsive. I bought more of these for each room humidifier. The accuracy matches other smart sensors and turn on when needed. I like that a range can be set so the unit doesn’t constantly cycle.

> 3 dayIs it working? I have no idea. The settings are so unintuitive and the manual online is HORRIBLE. I hope so!

> 3 dayI bought the humidifier controller for my grow tent where I am growing gourmet mushrooms. It has an outlet (Work1) for the humidifier and one (Work2) for either an exhaust fan or a dehumidifier. However, when the humidity reached the cut off point, the fan wouldnt kick in to lower the humidity, which just kept climbing until it reached the limit (99%) and then the alarm went off. I contacted Inkbird and when I explained the problem—without hesitation—they said they would sent me a new one, which I got today. Good customer service is almost obsolete these days, so I really appreciate Inkbird! Thanks. I hope this one works ok.

> 3 dayAwesome and helpful product. I have a humidifier and dehumidifier plugged into it and they both turn on/off when my humidity gets either too high or low based on the controller settings. Easy to use and several good how to videos on youtube. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayA bit confusing on the instructions, and was off by about 6%, but get the right settings and youre golden. I used this for a 30 gallon crested gecko enclosure and it works perfectly. Keeps its settings after the power goes out.

Greater than one weekThe ink bird humidity controller is very accurate right out of the box. Make sure you have a dehumidifier or humidifier with auto restart at set the values on the humidifier or dehumidifier much lower or higher then your target so the inkbird can completely manage it.. the one drawback is it doesn’t have dual day / night independent settings for absolute RH control which comes in handy to dial in your indoor grow environment but you can find a happy-medium and keep your VPN relatively in check. For the price this is the best out there for the home hobbiest level grower..commercially you would want to run a full environment controller or a humidity controller that lets you set humidity levels for day/night, to achieve this with this controller you would need two controllers on timers and 2 different dehumidifiers....

> 3 dayWe bought this to control the humidity in a room where we store our guitars. The ability to set a custom range allows us to adequately control the humidity without constantly cycling the humidifier for short durations. I really like the remote sensor - so the control unit can be out of view while the sensor is up near the instruments. I dont want to monitor humidity down on the floor where the switch is, or across the room where the humidifier sits. I only care what it is by the instruments. I never write reviews, but am really happy with this cost-effective unit.

> 3 dayUsing this and a smart plug you can really dial in your environmental controls on the cheaper side. The only issue I have is with the length of the humidity sensor wire. If this was removable it would offer a lot more versatility for the product.
