My dehumidifier stopped reading the proper humidity and would never turn off. Instead of getting a new dehuey I got one of these and set it up to the range I wanted, and it works even better than before and Im now saving a little on my electric bill as its no longer running 24/7. Im not the smartest of men so I didnt fully understand all the settings but after toying around with it, I cant imagine not having it. Even if I have to get a new dehumidifier someday Ill probably still connect it to this thing.

This is inexpensive, works well, and is easy to setup. Im humidifying a guitar room with a new humidifier that doesnt have a humidity sensor, so I had been relying on my old humidistat on the shelf to help me manage the humidity level manually. That was aggravating work. But with this new controller, not only is life easier, but it has taught me that my old humidistat was highly inaccurate. Today, I need far less water than before and the humidity range isnt so wildly up and down.

I returned this item, because the humidifier that I bought to use with it, will not work with an external controller. So I would say, you would be better off if your humidifier was an analog one. This thing does turn the power on and off to a humidifier or a dehumidifier based on the RH% that you choose. It does work. Its just that my humidifier needs you to then choose the steam level and the RH% before it will start working. Bummer because this thing is cool. I will say that setting it up is a bit confusing. Mostly because it has so many capabilities. But the instructions are good. Once I figured all of that out, it was great.

Does anyone know how to switch from work2 to work 1? Im losing my mind trying to figure it out.

Not the most obvious way to make settings, but once you get it, it makes sense. Works as advertised so far (I have 2 of these on different humidors and both work fine). Readings match separate humidity sensors closely.

I use this in my greenhouse. The placement is going to be moved for the second one I buy. The first one locked up the sprayer valve when it got wet.
