Selected modem for T-Mobile compatibility to enable deployment using a registered Google Project-Fi Data-Only SIM card. You have to be Project-Fi phone subscriber to get the SIM. Had to obtain a nano-to-micro SIM Adapter. Did not use the supplied Cricket-SIM-card - was never inserted nor activated. Allowed Huawei branded Cricket software to install on Windows 7, and Windows 8,x test systems. Terminated and ignored Cricket online registration actions because was using Project-Fi SIM. Test-site Cell tower signal is good, not excellent, thus 4G LTE Modem functions at about 60% of maximum speed. Price is very reasonable - purchased a second device.

Works with a Google Project Fi data-only sim. Had some issues with getting the sim card to work reliably, occasionally getting SIM errors, hence 4 stars.

Item says works with windows 10 the cricket installer does not work with windows 10, it will install but never find the device, tried on 2 machines. After wasting much time I could not find suitable drivers or connection manager dloads to make it work as the seller claims. Will spend more time tonight and return if no joy

Works easily out of the box. Might have to manually input the APN. For anyone that wants to use this on the interior of their machine or computer and doesnt get a signal (I have mine in a 4U server chassis and couldnt receive) you need an external antenna. I had asked on here but nobody could answer. However, I managed to purchase a couple and found one that worked. 8dB US Cellular Huawei UML397 E397 USB Modem External Antenna https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VVWVS70/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xiQeAbJC88R1A

It was very easy to set up on T-Mobile. I get speeds around 50mbps on 4G LTE.

It is so crazy that this device must be used in the US network first. It is only after that it can be transferred to another countrys network with additional payment. Now i cant use it because i am not in the US.

I got this with a portable wifi router for my car. Works pretty well with Google Project Fi.

Used a Tmobile SIM from a slow tablet in this hotspot and attached to laptop. Works as advertised. No issues at all. Everytime I plug it in, it loads from the software from the modem (nothing is installed) and runs. Just click CONNECT and Bob is your online Uncle. 11/11/17 Update: Still works great but have removed one star for design. 1) It will cover part of your second USB port forcing you to either flip around But you will have to elevate the laptop a bit to give it space or 2) you will have to use a USB hub. It could be a bit smaller or narrower so it doesnt feel in the way. Im positive at some point Im either going to break it or damage my USB port. Will continue to use but will be looking for something smaller, something port and user friendly.

Works well on Windows and Linux. On Ubuntu 18 it was recognized out of the box, but I wasnt able to configure the APN until I installed the package modem-manager-gui. Then it worked great with a Google Fi data-only SIM.

I could not get the modem to conenct to the internet on Mac OSX 10.13. The instruction manual says it supports up to OSX 10.7. Clicking the connect button on my Mac keep saying device disconnected despite the LED light blinking cyan. Plugging the device into a Windows 10 machine works fine and connects to the internet without issues. So the issue is tied to OSX. Some people have been telling me to configure the APN, but there are no options for this on the Crickett app in OSX. If I am missing something please let me know. Otherwise, Id advice everyone with a Mac to stay away from this.
