> 3 dayI thought we were going to have to hire someone to secure our window air conditioner in the attic, but this works GREAT!! It was easy to assemble, and easy to install in the window. The air conditioner is now securely in place. When I was searching some commenters thought it was too expensive, but I would rather pay a little more to have something I know is secure. We just had new siding and windows installed last year, so we also like that this doesnt need to be attached to the outside wall to be secure -- so there are no holes in our new exterior!! Love it!!

> 3 dayTop-Shelf is fantastic! I highly recommend Top-Shelf air conditioner supports. I purchased two of the Top-Shelf units and these have saved me a loads and loads of frustration in installing my air conditioners every summer. Previously, the weight of each air conditioner was precariously pressed against the top window pane while my back was killing me trying to prevent them from toppling out the window during installation and removal for the fall and winter months. The installation of the two Top-Shelf window air conditioner supports was very easy – although initially it looked a little confusing. As there are very many styles of windows, my reinstalled windows did not need the sliding left and right wings that come with the kit as the bottom of my reinstalled windows adequately support my air conditioners. As the instructions specify, there is no requirement for drilling or using additional tools, fasteners or hardware. They even included rubber feet for the foot brackets that press against the house siding under the air conditioners. However, what I did need to purchase extra were a couple of packages of Frost King Air Conditioner Weatherseals (1 1/4 x 1 1/4 x 42 available on Amazon). This was necessary to fill in air gaps under the air conditioner – both inside and outside of the house (which I would have needed anyway with or without Top-Shelf).

> 3 dayVERY easy to set up, but you do need to poke your head out of the window to make sure the feet are flat on the wall. If you dont do that, and something jostles the air conditioner, I can imagine dire things happening. The instruction booklet, like ALL instruction booklets, could use some work. Maybe larger, clearer illustrations. But, its true, you dont need any tools. One last thing - you need to use alternate methods to fill the gaps created using this bracket. There will be areas in front of and underneath the bracket to fill. Not a problem - I used bubble wrap. Bottom line - I feel that the entire unit is safer, and therefore, we are safer using it.

> 3 dayOk after many reviews and one really good one about the EZ mount funny enough a gentleman said he ordered both and the other one just worked better, so as this one was less I decided to start with this one. We have metal siding and any hole is forever and no ductwork in a 1952 home so at the high price this was solving what could be very expensive if I had water damage and our very short hot season in Oregon. We have a sill and I just adjusted to have a pitch with the legs. Now I can see how it would not work for some and there was only the position shown and way in front but with no holes I was willing for it to be ugly as a window unit is already ugly. The pegs are not supposed to line up per instructions as pictured I literally laid out the window and bounced and I’m far heavier than my 60lb black and decker 12000 btu AC. I say it’s absolutely worth the risk of not working with 30day returns

14-11-2024IVE USED WINDOW AIR CONDITIONERS FOR YEARS. EACH YEAR I REMOVE THEM FROM THE WINDOW FOR CLEANING. IT IS AN ORDEAL BECAUSE I NEVER HAVE USED A GOOD QUALITY MOUNTING BRACKET. I EACH TIME I REMOVED THE AIR CONDITIONER I WAS CONCERNED THAT I MAY DAMAGE MY WINDOW BECAUSE I USED NO PROPER MOUNTING SYSTEM. I ORDERED THIS UNIT AND WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH HOW EASY IT WAS TO INSTALL. IT LITERALLY TOOK ABOUT FIVE MINUTES TO ASSEMBLE AND PLACE IN THE WINDOW OPENING. THIS BRACKET SYSTEM IS REALLY MADE OF HEAVY DUTY QUALITY MATERIALS. ASSEMBLY TOOK JUST SECONDS. ADJUSTING THE UNIT TO MY WINDOW WAS ALSO JUST A FEW MOMENTS. IM HIGHLY SATISFIED AND PLAN ON ORDERING TWO MORE FOR MY OTHER WINDOW UNITS.

> 3 dayThe bracket is easy to put together and put into the window. I have two ac units - a heavier Frigidaire and a smaller Haier. After reading the reviews here I opted to use this with the smaller Haier. It slid onto the bracket with ease, and there was still space left on the sides and front of bracket so the unit is totally supported. The bracket is well packaged and the instructions are clear. This was a must for me as I did not want to drill holes and I live on a high floor where cars are parked underneath the window. It costs more but is worth saving the headache of using tools, when installing an ac unit is a hassle in and of itself. I would definitely recommend this to anyone living in an apartment who needs the added security of a bracket, and doesnt have the time or know how for putting together additional tools for their ac unit.

> 3 dayI didnt want to pay ninety-nine dollars for this -- but there was no other solution. I must say, when it arrived I was very impressed with the packaging and build quality and my angst over the price dissipated to the point where I could swallow the price. Packaging -- it comes in foam packaging with cutouts for each part so they safely stay separated and undamaged. Build quality -- theres no way this is bending and it looks to be powder coated for a great finish that wont peel or rust easily. Problem: I had to return it though because it wasnt obvious to me that it would add an inch (eyeball measurement) to the overall height of the window sill. This made it impossible for me to fit my AC in the window. Even if I had been able to fit it in, I wasnt sure I liked how the feet were pressed against the bottom edge of my vinyl siding shingle (is that what its called?). I wish there was a way to lower the legs somehow so that I could place them squarely on the top part that is closest to my actual house where it wont be subject to the same pressure. I worried that over time the vinyl siding would crack.

> 3 dayThis was the easiest AC bracket I have ever installed (took me like maybe a minute or two), and my AC is definitely not going anywhere. Im totally inept when it comes to assembling anything, even with detailed instructions, so this bracket was such a pleasant surprise. Well worth the money.

> 3 dayThe unit is good quality and sturdy. Installed easily in vinyl replacement windows. My ac unit does not have a flat bottom, and so sits unevenly on support. This also effects the moisture draining.

Greater than one weekI looked up a how to video on YouTube before purchasing, (which is not really very good at all considering it looks like it was uploaded by the manufacturer). I thought this was going to be so simple, just assemble and place in window, done! But no. My window has an inner metal frame and neither method of placing the shelf inside the windows frame or outside of it would work. It just left all kinds of gaps and empty spaces around the shelf, and around the accordian extenders on the air conditioner. Too bad, its sturdy construction and you just cant possibly put an AC in a window without some type of support, but every windows construction can be unique, and this shelf is not a one size fits all. I just recommend you study your window frame carefully before buying.
