> 3 dayIt took some time to figure out how to adjust it. Instructions says to put sides in the third hole. Found out that meant third from the shortest setting. After that, I got it in place. As a former welder, I can appreciate the construction of it. My window frame is not the best for it, but got it to work. Placed a 2x6x24 piece of redwood under the AC unit to keep it from tipping too much. Will work better after I anchor the wooden piece. It will give me peace of mind that my A/C unit is well supported and should not put a strain on my apartments window frame.

> 3 dayYes, it doesnt fit windows without a ledge on the outside of the window. But it looked a bit sturdier than others on the market, and the seller does state that it wont work with windows without an outside sill, so not theyre fault. I was able to make it work by getting a wide lead bar and a 1X3 board from the hardware store and using it as a brace on the inside of the window buy inserting them both into the hollow space in the front wings that go on the inside of the window. Both extend out a few inches and brace it against the inside molding of the window on each side. The metal bar was because I have a heavier AC, and the board would have bowed. Not the best solution, but it did look sturdier than the others on the market so Im not sending it back. Some of the other brands only had 1 stabilizing foot in the middle, I like that this has 2. And I like the fact that I dont have to drill holes in my window sill. So Ill nix one star because I wish it fit windows without an outside ledge. Oh, and the holes arent supposed to line up on the leg depth adjustment. Its a little confusing, but it was designed that way to allow you to make more subtle depth adjustments and still keep the metal sturdy by having fewer holes drilled into the metal. Kind of confusing, but I understood why once I started trying to adjust them. Im happy I dont have to drill holes into my window sill.

> 3 dayGood idea, easy to install but didn’t fit our windowsill. It left a gap all along the bottom of the ac, not even tape would help.

> 3 dayWith this platform/bracket feel way safer wrestling to put a +60lbs, unwieldy, fragile in the back, pain in the everywhere ac unit in. 30 secs to put together, 5 stars. Once in properly really sturdy and easy to maneuver big ac in place, 5 stars. Getting properly in place, 3 stars for 2 easy to fix problems. First, the feet should not be able to flip a full 180°, a small bit of metal would have saved me 10 minutes of thinking got legs at right lengths only to discover the feet had flipped...again. Second, the legs push pins popped out of place, which meant I had to remove the leg from the frame, fish the metal clip out, and pop the pins back in holes. This happened on both legs. A simple fix would be put a piece between the pins so they cant be popped completely out of the holes of legs but could still be adjusted on the holes of the frame. Just saying that these are easily fixed issues and should have been awhile ago. Also, maybe make the arch on the front of the frame 1/2inch longer for those of us who need to put a 2×4 under frame to lift over frame of window.

> 3 dayThis was incredibly easy to put together and install. I have an older home with wooden windows, it fits great and is very sturdy. I have a 10k BTU ac on it right now and it is great. Im very happy with my purchase, if only everything was as simple!

> 3 dayI bought this brace for my new AC and the pins cannot work since the holes do NOT line up .. Attempted to contact company regarding this and they never bothered to get back to me. I also found another person who had the same issue. Poor quality control. Poor customer service. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO RE-LINE THE HOLES UP TO FIT

> 3 dayPurchased this specific model because the window is visible from the street and we wanted to be able to remove the AC when no longer needed without leaving an ugly support in place. I think they designed it to support twice the weight of any model AC just in case. Incredibly sturdy and the pins allow for minute adjustment to ensure a perfect angle for your AC to drain. Only draw back is just how much more it costs than a standard model. Bit too much more. I would have continued to shop around but were out of time with company arriving.

> 3 dayI didnt want to pay ninety-nine dollars for this -- but there was no other solution. I must say, when it arrived I was very impressed with the packaging and build quality and my angst over the price dissipated to the point where I could swallow the price. Packaging -- it comes in foam packaging with cutouts for each part so they safely stay separated and undamaged. Build quality -- theres no way this is bending and it looks to be powder coated for a great finish that wont peel or rust easily. Problem: I had to return it though because it wasnt obvious to me that it would add an inch (eyeball measurement) to the overall height of the window sill. This made it impossible for me to fit my AC in the window. Even if I had been able to fit it in, I wasnt sure I liked how the feet were pressed against the bottom edge of my vinyl siding shingle (is that what its called?). I wish there was a way to lower the legs somehow so that I could place them squarely on the top part that is closest to my actual house where it wont be subject to the same pressure. I worried that over time the vinyl siding would crack.

11-11-2024Ok after many reviews and one really good one about the EZ mount funny enough a gentleman said he ordered both and the other one just worked better, so as this one was less I decided to start with this one. We have metal siding and any hole is forever and no ductwork in a 1952 home so at the high price this was solving what could be very expensive if I had water damage and our very short hot season in Oregon. We have a sill and I just adjusted to have a pitch with the legs. Now I can see how it would not work for some and there was only the position shown and way in front but with no holes I was willing for it to be ugly as a window unit is already ugly. The pegs are not supposed to line up per instructions as pictured I literally laid out the window and bounced and I’m far heavier than my 60lb black and decker 12000 btu AC. I say it’s absolutely worth the risk of not working with 30day returns
