Greater than one weekI hadn’t intended to buy the waterproof version but glad I did because the waterproofing adds significantly to the overall strength/robustness of the strip. I wish they had provided a clue on how to remove the waterproofing when installing a connector and even YouTube is strangely vague on the topic. I found that a dremel tool with wire brush wheel works well for removing the waterproofing without damaging the strip by the way. Adhesive backing isn’t very strong but I think that is typical. No specs provided and I ended up using a double row to get the brightness I needed but they work fine. This was my first LED strip purchase and I’ll shop for better documented version next time but I’d buy these again though I expect I’ll always want a higher density version.

Greater than one week-1 star for brightness These are far from high intensity LEDs like they say in the description. I sampled the lux of a 3 foot long strand by placing my meter centered under the strip at a distance of 6 inches. 400 lux. For reference, a 750 lumen light bulb sampled from the same distance is 1500 lux. The brightness of the LEDs are really only good enough for decoration and accent lighting. -1 Star for the folds at the solder points. These 5 meter strips are made up of smaller strips soldered together at the factory before a waterproof coating is applied. Every single one of these solder joints is folded like this in the 5m reel. The paper that protects the adhesive backing does not fold with the strip, leaving the adhesive exposed under every solder joint. I didnt catch this and when I went to install the strips and got shuffleboard powder stuck to the strip in spots. +1 for price, these are super cheap for how much strip you get +1 for color uniformity in the strip, no dead pixels, and even level of lumen per diode +1 for the quality of the adhesive. It wont budge if you apply it to a smooth, clean surface.

> 3 dayThese are sold at a great price and seem to be of high quality. I havent seen any dead LEDs and they are quite bright, with an attractive color. I havent had these very long, so I cant comment on their longevity. I did buy the 3528 2 Pin LED Strip Connector Kit - 8mm LED Connector Kit for the installation, as I cut these into several strips. They are very clear about this not coming with a power adapter, so I also bought the Tasodin DC 12V 2A Power Supply Adapter to power them. No complaints, and I highly recommend them.

> 3 dayI used these in conjunction with a solar panel and battery to light my shed. Brighter than I was expecting. I was a little rough with the install and Im not a very good solderer. I cut back some of the waterproofing to solder power in at various points to make two three-way switches work at each end of the shed.

> 3 day***Update*** Still have issues with adhesive but I used a staple gun and made my own improvements. The lights themselves work great and look awesome. I received my package last week and I ordered the power source separately so I had to wait for that before I set the lights up. I set up my lights early evening yesterday and this morning I came downstairs and they were already drooping. I would’ve given it a higher rating if they adhesive worked better, as they looked great when I first set them up.
