> 3 dayI took advantage of a recent mega sale because we had been debating getting a new one after gifting the previous to my elderly mom. The previous and first robo vac we bought (Shark AV752 ION) did pretty well. It was a bit like drunk jar jar. Bumbled around loudly slamming into things, occasionally got hung up on thicker shag carpets, would roll over and get stuck on something when the cliff censor got lifted. So far this one is much better. Im not sure if its worth the $600 full market value. I really had to knock a star off because of the full price tag. In the end i suppose this is technically mid tier for the product type. Pros- bumping is reasonably quiet and is more easily triggered, manages to find its way back to the dock with ease (despite not having the full clearance they recommend), the mapping makes sure it gets everything in a timely manner. Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i dont use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere youll be relaxing or taking calls. But the robot itself is loud, just not that loud! The robot could be more effective at pathing. Its got some weirdness with pathing. It doesnt consider mapped obstacles when cleaning and still tries to hug around them like its looking for an opening. It is good about obstacles generally though. It was able to roll over a slightly wrinkled up towel without gettjng stuck. The wheels are definitely bigger than my old one which is clearly a good thing. Its also been a little unpredictable on timing. For example today it docked after under an hour and must have done a full charge because it randomly started back up after another hour charging. The laser top is definitely great, but is a notable bump up on the top. I could also see small hanging looped cables possibly getting stuck on it. The app is.... okay. Your no go zones and rooms have a minimum size, which makes blocking off sections of a room difficult and hallways cant be designated. If you move the dock you have to completely remap, there is no recalibrate. When zooming and moving around the map its easy to accidentally move a room designation square. Oddly i can only pick 1 or 2 rooms for spontaneous cleaning cycles and i cant block off a room except when requested. It would be nice to say only allow manual sends to office

> 3 dayI’ve tried several different robot vacuums and the sharks are by far the best. Love that they go back and forth vs every which way. Self emptying is a great feature. I have one upstairs and one downstairs.

> 3 dayIm loving my little R2D2 splurge! I found it on Amazon for 300 off. Still pricey at 349 but it has been a godsend game changer for vacuuming up daily pet hair/litter. My toes dont curl anymore when I walk around in the house barefoot. I can program it when to run and it returns to base and empties itself when needed. Transitions from laminate to carpet and back. We are still in the honeymoon phase (1week) but so far so good. It also has been good because it forces me not to leave things like cords or socks lying on the floor. Had to rescue it once for a dry swifter sheet that fell on floor and when it couldnt get out of the laundry room due to a two inch drop but now I have that room as a no go zone unless I physically put it in there to clean. Things I would change: I would like it to show the GPS track it makes in real time on the map. If it would try a bit harder to push under my bed skirt to clean under the bed. One bed doesn’t have a skirt and it gets under fine, the other one has a skirt and it sees it as a wall and doesn’t go under. And it could be quieter.

> 3 dayThe robot vacuum works well enough however I am underwhelmed with its ability to maneuver obstacles and it sees intake vents on the floor as cliffs and gets stuck (I had to make no-go zone around the vent). It also gets stuck on the objects on the floor that it should maneuver around. We like to schedule it to run at night but most nights it cant complete its run and we have a very obstacle free house. But the app is beyond bad. The history randomly wont show the map so I dont know where it has cleaned, you can only schedule once a day, and the notifications really dont tell me much (they seriously say the word cliff). This is my first experience with robot cleaners so maybe my expectation is too high but I am underwhelmed at best! But I am tempted to return it and see if the iRobot is just a better product.

> 3 dayI hace been using my shark for months. It works great and it saves me so much time. It cleans well. It makes less noise than my old vacuum cleaner but there is some noise. Not a big deal for me. I love that it saves me time and allows me to keep up with the dog hair. I will definitely buy another one for the first level of the house so I don’t have to move it from second floor to the first.

09-11-2024I have owned and still own the IRobot. Shark knocks the IRobot to the curb! I will only own Shark auto cleaner from now on. I now have three and the IRobot is in the attic for a yard sale.

> 3 dayWhy did I wait so long?! I love our robot vacuum. It is sort of like a little pet that sits in the corner patiently waiting to pick up the crumbs until you give it the command. We named ours Clean Latifah (or Queenie). She does a good job and we just love that it is one less thing to do. My house has never felt cleaner. Now if I could only get her to do the toilets! We got another one for the second story of our home and named her...Meryl Sweep! ;-)

> 3 dayI have two of these that I’ve been using for a few months now, and they work pretty well for the most part. The initial set up was easy and it created a pretty accurate map from the start. The app is also intuitive and easy to use. The robots themselves navigate well and rarely get stuck. The self emptying base is also pretty nice and I like that it doesnt need bags. They follow the set schedules quite well too. Some things could be better unfortunately. The actual suction power on the bots doesn’t seem to be enough, and the dust filters on the bots get clogged very fast even with it set to empty the dustbin every 30mins. If I don’t clean the filters every 2-3 runs the bots lose suction completely which isn’t ideal. The no-go zones don’t seem to work too well either. The bots only respect the no-go zones on some runs but not all. They also seem to disregard them when they are navigating to new areas. For example if I tell it to do a spot clean somewhere and there is a no-go zone in the way, they often just run straight through the no-go zone on the way to the designated spot clean area. It will then respect the no-go zone while cleaning, but on the way back to the base it will just run straight through it again. Over all the no-go zones are just very inconsistent, which makes it hard to keep them out of trouble spots. Overall I think they are decent, when they are on sale they are a pretty good deal. I just wish the no-go zones worked properly.

> 3 dayI literally never review stuff, but I am so glad I bought this vacuum. I bought the Shark AV2501AE AI Robot Vacuum with XL HEPA Self-Empty Base. It mapped my bottom floor pretty quickly. I like that it stops to empty itself and then goes back to cleaning. The app was easy to use and I was able to name each room. I didn’t give it the 3ft space on the side of the dock and it still found it’s way back to the dock. It took about 1.5 hrs for first time cleaning of office, kitchen, living room, master bedroom. So far I’m pretty happy that I bought it.
