> 3 day26 minutes, mapped the whole house. No errors. Doesnt bump into thing, which previous version did until it broke three bumpers. This one is louder. But does a great job. Working with Alexa is not great I give it a room to clean, then it clear the whole house. The app works perfect They should put a small piezoelectric spk that runs on a button battery for locating the unit when the main battery dies.

> 3 dayI took advantage of a recent mega sale because we had been debating getting a new one after gifting the previous to my elderly mom. The previous and first robo vac we bought (Shark AV752 ION) did pretty well. It was a bit like drunk jar jar. Bumbled around loudly slamming into things, occasionally got hung up on thicker shag carpets, would roll over and get stuck on something when the cliff censor got lifted. So far this one is much better. Im not sure if its worth the $600 full market value. I really had to knock a star off because of the full price tag. In the end i suppose this is technically mid tier for the product type. Pros- bumping is reasonably quiet and is more easily triggered, manages to find its way back to the dock with ease (despite not having the full clearance they recommend), the mapping makes sure it gets everything in a timely manner. Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i dont use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere youll be relaxing or taking calls. But the robot itself is loud, just not that loud! The robot could be more effective at pathing. Its got some weirdness with pathing. It doesnt consider mapped obstacles when cleaning and still tries to hug around them like its looking for an opening. It is good about obstacles generally though. It was able to roll over a slightly wrinkled up towel without gettjng stuck. The wheels are definitely bigger than my old one which is clearly a good thing. Its also been a little unpredictable on timing. For example today it docked after under an hour and must have done a full charge because it randomly started back up after another hour charging. The laser top is definitely great, but is a notable bump up on the top. I could also see small hanging looped cables possibly getting stuck on it. The app is.... okay. Your no go zones and rooms have a minimum size, which makes blocking off sections of a room difficult and hallways cant be designated. If you move the dock you have to completely remap, there is no recalibrate. When zooming and moving around the map its easy to accidentally move a room designation square. Oddly i can only pick 1 or 2 rooms for spontaneous cleaning cycles and i cant block off a room except when requested. It would be nice to say only allow manual sends to office

> 3 dayOkay a little context I have a 1400 single level house with laminate flooring throughout. I have 3 area rugs as well. The one in the living room is a short pile rug. My house is a new construction and my backyard is 3/4 dirt. I also have 3 young dogs that go in and out all day long. So, as you can imagine keeping up with the dirt and mess has been a royal challenge. I work full time with a lot of overtime and also go to college at an accelerated pace (2 classes every 5 weeks year round). This is my first robot vacuum, but I do use Shark brand vacuums. Vacuuming: As far as the linoleum flooring goes, it does an incredible job and I am very pleased. With the short pile rug in the living room, I do notice some dirt being left behind. Overall, it definitely helps, but the suction on the rugs is not quite as I imagined it would be. A deep cleaning will still be necessary and thats okay. Mopping: So, were talking about muddy/ dirt mess tracked in by my dogs. It gets bad fast. The mopping function does okay. It definitely doesnt remove all of the dirt in the problem areas unless you use the ultramop setting. Maybe theres a way to do this that I havent figured out yet, but what I have seen so far is you can only use the ultra clean and ultra mop settings on a 5x5 area at a time. If you consider the time it would take to have it clean an area of that size, redock, and then set another area, youd really be better off doing the deeper cleaning with a mop or steamer. On the areas that do not get as muddy and awful though it does do very well. So, if your house doesnt have caked on dirt in several areas, it should work fantastic just using the mop setting. Battery life is good. Charging time you can expect 10% battery in roughly 30 minutes. It will not run below 15% battery. The app is user-friendly and I definitely like it. Same with set up. In the app, you can label rooms, high traffic zones and carpet zones once it has mapped your house. Once you label the carpet zones, which has to be done for the mopping, the robot will go trace the outside of where you said it was for you to confirm it is correct. This is maybe my BIGGEST complaint. I wish they could put a sensor on this thing to determine/ verify given the approximate location of said rug or carpet. This took me forever to get relatively close as I have 3 rugs. It will go out and you have to follow it to ensure is traces the rug area but if its not right you have to wait for it to redock, redraw your rectangles and test over and over again. This can get quite frustrating. The self empty base is awesome and works great. The base is easy to empty and clean the filter. I thought the way the mopping pad attaches was rather cool. I thought it would be similar to a steam mop or maybe how a Swifer pad attaches being maybe a couple clips or velcro. It actually attached by similar to a zipper format. You slide a piece on the back through another opening and across. Then it stretches down, attached by velcro on the bottom, and then up and attached by a piece of velcro on the front. This may be a bit obsolete to some, but you definitely do not have to worry about your mop pad falling off mid clean (assuming its not on carpet.)

> 3 dayI used to get irritated when my kids would come out to my office and get dirt and grass all over my floor. The Robo-Shark has brought peace back into my heart like only a shark can. haha I would buy again. Just an FYI, it is a maintenance cleaner. Youll still have to vacuum the corners and edges of the room manually. Overall though its a great lil vacuum.

> 3 dayWe first purchased a Shark AV911S Robot Vacuum from Amazon. We named it Bob. It was just OK. It did a fine job of actually cleaning, but then, after less than 6 weeks, it started throwing notices that saying that the charging power source was incompatible with the charging station (we live in the US and have standad 120V power in the house). And multiple times it failed to return to the station for recharging, and just petered out where it lay. There was no room mapping feature, and I likened it to a blind man just feeling his way around bumping into things. If it got into a corner, sometimes it would take literally a minute or two just to get out of the corner. We renamed it (at the risk of being politically incorrect) Bob the Ret*rd). Interestingly, I was unable to write a review for the AV911S as Amazon aid there was too much review activity for that unit, and that only verified purchasers would be able to review. Hmmm....sounds fishy to me. So we finally gave up on it and returned it and purchased the Shark AV2501AE AI Robot Vacuum with XL HEPA and self emptying base - which is what we should have purchased in the first place. This robot DOES have room mapping, which is a great feature. It also has LIDAR, so it does not feel its way around just by bumping into walls and objects. It actively sees objects and avoids them without hitting them. We have only had this for a couple of weeks, but as I write this, I sent it to the master bedroom to clean, and voila, it went straight to the MB. So far so good, and I really like this robot (also named Bob. And this one, so far, remains just Bob).

> 3 dayWe have messy kids and a sweet dog that sheds constantly. This robot vacuum keeps our floors virtually fur and debris free. It does a great job navigating obstacles and even cleans well around our kitchen table and chairs. It does take several hours to complete its cleaning of about 1200 square feet and needs a ~2 hour recharging break in the middle. It works well on rugs, carpets and bare floors. The AI and obstacle learning is surprisingly sophisticated. One of our kids feeds it scraps of paper occasionally and tells the vacuum that it is doing a great job so you can thank her for staving off the coming AI takeover (just kidding). This vacuum is amazing.

> 3 daySo far Im loving this. It does a much better job than I expected it to. Its mapped the house and just goes about its business. It does take awhile, but worth it.

> 3 dayThe robot vacuum works well enough however I am underwhelmed with its ability to maneuver obstacles and it sees intake vents on the floor as cliffs and gets stuck (I had to make no-go zone around the vent). It also gets stuck on the objects on the floor that it should maneuver around. We like to schedule it to run at night but most nights it cant complete its run and we have a very obstacle free house. But the app is beyond bad. The history randomly wont show the map so I dont know where it has cleaned, you can only schedule once a day, and the notifications really dont tell me much (they seriously say the word cliff). This is my first experience with robot cleaners so maybe my expectation is too high but I am underwhelmed at best! But I am tempted to return it and see if the iRobot is just a better product.

Greater than one weekIve been using our Shark AV2501AE for a little over a year. My home is mostly hard wood floors, with one carpeted bedroom. While it seems to clean very well on the carpet, it needs to be put into maximum suction mode to be very effective on the wood floors. This causes the battery to deplete faster which usually requires it have to return to charge before finishing all the rooms. I should also note that it makes fairly slow progression from room to room. If youre not home while its working, it wont bother you. I work from home, so I notice how long it takes. In our home, the first floor is around 1,800 sq/ft. It makes two trips with a charge in between. The total time vacuuming is around 2 hours. Here are the pros/cons that Ive experienced: PROS It attempts to get every inch of floor, so its pretty thorough when it works. You dont have to vacuum yourself. Self-emptying bin at the base is great! Bin is easy to empty as well. CONS The app has frequently lost the map of the floorplan, the room border designations or both (customer service had me factory reset the vacuum and reinstall app, but it still happens). It isnt able to clean corners very well or wall edges that have cabinet overhangs. It frequently gets stuck and needs assistance to keep moving. Sometimes it leaves random areas of rooms uncleaned. It picks up hair it gets wound around the spinning brush. You have to unscrew the cover plate and remove the hair from the end of the cylinder brush where it builds up (just human hair here - no pets) I end up using a broom to pull out debris from hard to reach corners and under cabinet edges so the Shark can vacuum them. I also move rugs and obstacles out of the way so that it wont snag on them or get turned around and lose track of where it is. If I wasnt here at the house to baby it, it would be very frustrating. The sad truth is that if I just swept and vacuumed myself, I would finish in less than half the time this Shark takes. If you want something you can just schedule to vacuum and forget while youre at work, I would look elsewhere.
