> 3 dayPretty cool that you can restrict access to the hard drive with a password. However dont forget the password because you cannot recover it if you forget it.

> 3 dayThis was a great gift to be used as a drive for running VMs from. It seems to be excellent and hope it lasts for a long time!

Greater than one weekIve fallen in love with this line of Samsung external SSDs. I bought a T5 last year during Black Friday and it has been wonderful. I needed this faster T7 because I wanted to connect it to my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to backup pics and vids. I also backup my wifes Note 8 with this. I would then transfer our 600GBs of backups to an external 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD (recommend that too!).

Greater than one weekI bought two of these drives. Both drives failed within a year to year and a half. Sent both back to Samsung for evaluation. Samsung fixed one drive and sent back but the other drive they were unable to repair. The drive they could not repair is being replaced with a new unit since the drive was covered warranty. Some might say this is all good because Samsung fixed or replaced the units but I strongly disagree. Two drives from two different orders should not fail. Drives were never abused. In fact, I did not use them that much. I would not trust any data kept on these drives. I think they are acceptable to use as a backup but I would NEVER use this product to keep data I do not have backed up elsewhere. You should just assume the drive will fail and your data will either be entirely lost or if you are smart it is backed up elsewhere. Buyer beware.

> 3 dayTried everything, but the drive is stuck in protected mode and I cant access any files I put on there literally 5 minutes ago on my PC. The software is buggy and wont even detect the drive, Ive tried formatting it numerous times. Waste of time and money, Samsung fix your app.

Greater than one weekI’ve been using this for video editing on the go, as a scratch disk. It has worked like a charm so far
