Ive had this for a year or so. I backed up a number of pictures and photos, still only using about 10% of the storage capacity. I just plugged it in to back up more items, and found that a handful of my pictures and videos corrupt, and even more are gone altogether. Im heartbroken, and am sure I lost a TON of stuff, as my Camera folder was almost empty. I really thought Samsung would be a brand I could trust. Very sad about the pictures and videos of my young kids I lost. Do not trust this with anything important.

Very good build quality. Please note that this unit does not come with an external power source which I saw with all the SSD drives, because I guess the power draw is so small compared to a regular HDD external drive. This appears to be the same with all the compact, SSD portable external drives. It comes with 2 types of connector cables (1xUSB-C/C & 1xUSB-C/A. In my case, I use the USB-C/C because its connected to my new iMac 24 that has only 4xUSB-C ports in the back, 2 of which are USB-C Thunderbolt and I used one of those for maximum transfer speed. I got the SSD in blue to match my computer. Looks great and no doubt will continue working great. I use it just as a backup drive. Gets a little warm to the touch but completely silent.

Well its a samsung SSD i have the past version with less storage capacity so i wanted to upgrade them as a back up unit, i hope this one is great as the others (no doubt about this tho).
