> 3 dayI bought this ceramic heat emitter to keep my Beardy warm and toasty in his hot spot on his favorite log! Ive been using it for almost a year now with no problems! Just be sure to let it cool off for 15 minutes before handling, its just like a stove top!

> 3 dayI place it in my house and it is so powerful that it just heat my whole house up and I got so dry that I cannot use it anymore. I return the item after using it for a day. I think you dont want to see your pets skin crack because of extreme dryness.

> 3 dayI wanted to use this on a red tail boa that I had in a 40 gallon breeder tank. I had it on for several minutes (probably about 30) and it would not heat the basking area of the tank sufficiently which is about 16 inches away from the lamp. I replaced it with what I had before and am currently using, a red heat lamp bulb. I gave this 2 stars instead of only one because it DID get hot, and I mean scorching hot, but it didnt radiate heat much past about 6 inches.

Greater than one weekI have been using the heat lamps in my outdoor aviary for a few years now. Seems to do a good job of keeping the birds warm throughout the winter.....at a fraction of the cost of a regular type of heater. I said seems to, because the lamps/bulbs dont heat the air. The heat is absorbed into the birds bodies. So, when I am out in the aviary....I dont feel warm and toasty....but the bird cOme thru the winter fine...so I am assuming they feel the warmth.

Greater than one weekI ordered this to keep my chicken coop warm in the winter. I use this instead of a heat lamp because I want all the power going into making heat unlike a heat bulb that you buy at the hardware store. Some of that energy goes into light instead of heat.
