> 3 dayIt is a good fan, but the assembly instructions were absolutely terrible -- Im surprised Honeywell would put its name on a product with such incoherent and confusing instructions.

> 3 dayUpdate: It has been over a year now (I bought a black one in March 2019) and the fan is still running perfect! The lows are still calm/quiet and high is what it should be. I really love that the low on this fan is fairly quiet (it has not gotten louder or started rattling on any speed over time like some fans I’ve had) and the air feels great. I can feel it on low across the room about 8 feet away (haven’t used it further away than that due to space). We don’t seem to use the remote much so I can’t give thoughts on it. At the time I need a new fan for my living room and have been debating getting a more expensive one like Rowenta but after seeing that the Honeywell one we have had for over a year is running great and easy to clean as well as cost much less than Rowenta, I’ll be getting another Honeywell double blade. I’d recommend it! So far so good. Seems pretty durable, noise levels are great, and most of all I love that I’ll be able to disassemble it to be cleaned unlike other fans and box fans. I know at some point this fan will have issues as they all do but it’s great for what I wanted! Oh and the remote is pretty neat. There’s multiple settings, you can have it oscillate, there are 3 speeds, there’s another feature that I believe changes the air flow (still figuring this one out it’s kind of strange to me, I usually just have it on the normal constant fan setting which is the button that turns it off as well when you press it a certain amount of times), and lastly this fan also has timer settings.

> 3 dayPROS: • Fairly quiet, yet provides powerful airflow, and well-built • Double bladed fan, bigger inner blades and smaller center blades to increase maximum airflow and cooling • Remote control to access settings, a great addition especially while in bed without having to get up and turn the fan on/off or adjust its settings • Automatic timer turns the fan off at a specified interval (1, 2, 4, or 8 hrs) to reduce energy costs • Solid base foundation, keeping the fan secured to ground • Oscillation is smooth and does not create creaky noises CONS: • No dedicated on/off button at the base controls, and must cycle through the 3 speed settings to turn off or via remote control • LED light at the base can be intrusive at night for those who like sleeping in a completely dark environment USEFUL INFO: • Plastic lock nut to secure the bigger and smaller blades is tighten via counter-clockwise, not the standard clockwise, to ensure it does not loosen over time when the blades are spinning counter-clockwise • When installing the 2 blades, be sure to inspect the inside center of the blades to ensure the slot lines up with the notch on the axle of the base

Greater than one weekso far, its a better fan than my last one! Lets hope it lasts longer! Its got a strong wind but not too loud, the fan cover is all metal which means it wont snap easily. Lost 1 star for construction and the remote control. Mostly, it was easy to put together with all parts in situ and no tools needed--which is great--but there are no instructions on how to put the head assembly into the extension pole (I eventually found a youtube video). The remote control has symbols Ive never seen before and its hard to figure out. I only recognized the on-off button. Im gonna have to label it.

> 3 dayIt took longer to unpackage it than to put it together. Five minutes without instructions. 3 speeds. Low puts out what feels like the equivalent to high on my old tower fan and is what I would consider to be very quiet. I would describe the high setting as almost ridiculous for a fan of this size and surprisingly quiet for the amount of air it’s pulling through it. Really impressive wind to noise ratio. Nowhere near as loud as my last box fan and pretty close to the same output. Anyone who says this fan is too weak for a bedroom should be looking at wind tunnels and not budget room fans. The 3 modes are steady state, breezy, and variable (night). Breezy runs pretty strong and simulates a gusting breeze. The night setting seems very similar but with a wider spread between high and low (almost coming to a stop at times). The oscillation is a medium quick 90°. No rattles, vibration, or clicking from the unit. Overall it seems smooth and quiet. Round base isn’t super heavy so not too bad to move it around. It feels stable enough but a mildly rambunctious dog or kid could knock it over. Slight negatives: no batteries for the remote (c’mon Honeywell...) Not a ton of vertical adjustment. You get about 5” from lowest to highest. The low speed setting is still pretty strong. The night mode still “gusts” fairly strongly, even on the lowest speed. I’ve never had a fan with a remote before but now that I have one it’s kind of handy. Unless this thing dies after a few months I have no complaints and would deem this to be a solid buy. I’m already thinking about getting another one.

> 3 dayThe fan was very easy to put together and is easy to use. Make sure to line up the alignment pins on the blades when assembling it. It has good air flow. The noise level is a little high, but not too bad even at max speed. Its a fan... what do you expect? It has a nice weighted base that keeps the fan stable. The height isnt as adjustable as I expected (theres a difference of only about 8-10 from top to bottom heights), but that isnt a problem for me. The post screws down onto the base so that you dont have to worry about the base coming off when moving it and theres a screw on the top part that holds it in place to the post. However, that screw on the top part isnt great and probably wont last being tightened many times. But once set up, you should never need to tighten it or loosen it, so that shouldnt be a problem. The fan screen is metal and the clips holding the front to the back are metal, but seem to be flimsy, so be careful using them. If they end up breaking off at some point, zip ties work wonders for fan screens... just cut off the excess lengths after tying them on. I havent used the remote as I dont have the batteries to fit it and I dont have any real use for a remote anyhow. I either have the fan on or off and that can easily be changed by pressing the button on the fan without having to track down a remote. I wanted to clear up a few things I saw in other reviews prior to buying this. Hopefully this will help anyone who had those issues. * If you are missing the small fan blade and remote, check ALL the cardboard as they are both in the same small piece of cardboard that can easily be missed. * The nut that holds the blades on does not unscrew counter-clockwise like youd expect. Turn it to the right (clockwise) as the directions indicate and it will unscrew easily. This opposite threading prevents it from coming unscrewed as the blade spins. * If your fan is speeding up and slowing down, this is one of the settings. You can disable that easily. If you press the ... button, you cycle between three fan settings. One will stay on at full speed, one will cycle fast and slow. I havent tested the third, but its probably something between those two options. This setting changes the lighted up icons on the right side. For constant full speed, you should have it set to the bottom icon on the right side. * If you arent getting a lot of air flow, change the fan speed by pressing the power button. This changes the lighted up icons on the left side. The top icon is max speed. Note that it isnt going to be as good as a box fan or commercial fan, but its still good. I currently have mine sitting about 13 feet away from me and its hitting me very well. It could be better, but I could also move the fan closer if I really wanted to.

> 3 dayI read a ton of reviews about different fans and compared different models. I determined that for 50 USD, this is one of the best value options out there. Back in my day, you had to actually stand up and walk over to your fan to turn it on/off or adjust its speed. Now we get remotes which is super convenient, especially if youre all comfy on the couch or in bed. I also noticed a lot of bad reviews about people with issues with their fans? But Im pretty sure those are just rare cases where the delivery people or Amazon warehouse workers jacked something up or dropped the box or something, because my fan arrived in perfect condition, runs quietly and moves air phenomenally. Its relaxing during the day and soothing to sleep with at night. I recommend this fan 100% for anyone thats in the market for an oscillating floor fan.

> 3 dayThis fan is worth the price. We bought 3 of these, my family loved mine so much I had to get more. Lots of good air and different amount of settings. Batteries don’t come included but it’s still worth the price.

> 3 dayThe fact that this came with no extended warranty (and a rather high price tag compared to other fans) it’s worrisome to me; l hope it last. It’s rather heavy duty. I have a lot of experience putting fans together, so I was ok. Less experienced people would probably feel otherwise. I wanted a fan with a good remote, good brand and that provided a strong wind. In those fronts it delivers. It has a good range of motion and on slow and medium you can barely hear it; on high you do but it ain’t too bad. However, that extra blade? I find it GIMMICKY. I don’t feel that it provides me of any benefit. It was kind of a pain to install two blades so I kinda dread fan cleaning time now. The apparent purpose of that smaller blade is for something that I really don’t like: a variable speed option. It has its intended purposes, but instead of slowing the fan down and up it pretty much turn it off and back on (which made me panic because I thought that there was something wrong with the fan.) But I re-read the manual (a manual. For a fan. Next: a manual for sandals) and it’s a feature designed to provide the user with a calmer sleep. Well it made me panic so, so much for calm. If you are in the market for a sturdy, strong fan with a responsive, easily laid out remote control, the Honeywell Double Blade delivers. But the rest is really nothing to call grandma about.
