so far, its a better fan than my last one! Lets hope it lasts longer! Its got a strong wind but not too loud, the fan cover is all metal which means it wont snap easily. Lost 1 star for construction and the remote control. Mostly, it was easy to put together with all parts in situ and no tools needed--which is great--but there are no instructions on how to put the head assembly into the extension pole (I eventually found a youtube video). The remote control has symbols Ive never seen before and its hard to figure out. I only recognized the on-off button. Im gonna have to label it.

A very sturdy fan with heavy circular base compared to a previous flimsy fan we owned. Fairly easy to assemble but the adjustable stand was difficult to extend at first but eventually worked. The remote works perfectly. Its quiet even with the double blades. No complaints so far and highly recommend.

Hard to set up. Unnecessary pieces to it that threw me off like I was trying to figure out where it went but it ended up being unnecessary I guess there just to hold stuff together than when assembling your product you take the piece off than throw it away. It was only for transport of the item. Im more of a visual person so I followed the photo more. Other than that great fan. Has a timer and a wind speed itll speed up than slow down setting choice. Highly recommend this fan. Only down side is the blue light does not go off at night. It is very bright and hard to sleep with the bright light shining up part of your room. The only thing I suggest is tie a shirt around it or sumthin. If you know you dont need to change any setting on it with the remote. What I do is actually move the neck of the fan and just have the fan blowing towards me while the neck with panel is away from me to block the light as much as I can, if that makes sense.

I was a bit intimidated by putting it together but the directions are clear. The materials are sturdy and strong. The fan is very large, bigger than my old one. I like the black and black finish. The remote is a bonus, batteries 2 AAA arent included. The fan also has a double 2-blade system. Ive never seen this before. When putting it together, there is a 2nd much smaller blade to attach in front of the much larger blade. It took me time to figure out what the purpose of it was. If you place your hand in front of the front you feel air flow coming forward. If you place you hand in the rear of the fan you will also feel a forward air flow. In other words, air flows from both ends. The fan is quiet, love the oscillation setting, its big, its strong, its sturdy, has a nice remote, its black, it has a nighttime setting or basically a timer setting, it has strong airflow. Great purchase, satisfied with this, worth the extra money for me than a cheap standard piece of junk. Thats not what your buying here. Hope it helps.

It has multiple modes and the settings for each strength and type of wind are perfect for each. Couldn’t recommend more.

Ive been using this fan for over a year now, and have no complaints. It does get very dirty in my apartment (with four large windows open all the time), so Im glad its so easy to disassemble to clean. Just keep in mind that the red knob unscrews >clockwise<, which is counterintuitive. You can always download the Owners Manual if you need help with disassembly/re-assembly. But, its pretty straightforward.

We needed an additional fan stat in this heatwave. Last month we bought a Lasko fan and wanted to try a different brand to compare. Below are observations between this Honeywell and Lasko 18 pedestal fan: Speed/Power: Lasko has 5-blades, 4-speeds. Speed 1-2 are similar and bumps up at 3 but speed 4 is pretty similar to speed 3. Honeywell has 3 speeds and theres enough of a notable difference between 1 and 3. Honestly, you really only need 3 speeds. Both brands oscillate just fine. Given the larger diameter and 5-blades, Lasko fan provides what feels like stronger air flow. Noise: Perhaps due to the larger diameter of the Lasko blades, the Lasko fan is really loud. We have it set up in the bedroom as a surrogate white noise machine. It drowns out the outside noise when we have the window open. Not sure if its the LA paper walls, but the vibrations of the fan can be heard in the next room. In comparison, Honeywell is significantly quieter than the Lasko fan. Its not silent but I can have the Honeywell fan on, watch tv or have a Zoom call without interference. Well see after some use if the noise level changes. Assembly: Lasko fan is all plastic except for the pole and motor. Honeywell has a metal grill, cement base, and metal motor rod. Both fans have plastic blades. The metal cage on the Honeywell attached more securely than the Lasko plastic grill which snaps. I am still concerned the Lasko grill will pop off one day and were found decapitated in our sleep. Instructions for the Honeywell are not as clear as the Lasko fan manual. Both are simple enough to put together but a few steps in Honeywell instructions were not clearly described and we had to assemble based on logic. I hope the piece that didnt fit to anything was not essential... Lastly, the base footprint of the Honeywell is much smaller and sturdier. Extra features: I like the idea of the different air flow options on the Honeywell but we havent really used the other options except for constant flow. Honeywell also has up to an 8-hour timer. Lasko only offers a 1-2 hour timer which is probably just good for naps? Stay cool everyone!

My Duracraft fan was a gift for my wife and I when we we got married. over 20 years later it finally started to die. We live in a ridiculously hot state (AZ) and ran it every night for a decade, then the next decade I ran it in the window of our dining room into my office to save money on A/C costs. I didnt think anything could replace this fan... so I started looking for another Duracraft pedestal fan... but they no longer exist. Honeywell apparently bought duracraft and now make a similar pedestal fan but even better. I hope this fan stands the test of time as well! It is fairly quiet even thought I run it on high most of the day. The remote is amazing! No more reaching into the window and turning off the fan by hand.

I was replacing a cheaper fan that died. Since I have been using several Honeywell Space Heaters for several winters & they always served me well, I decided to stay with the brand. This fan has a couple of interesting features. I have never seen a fan with a smaller blade in front of the large blade. I imagine it is designed for more-even air distribution. The other interesting feature is the variable-speed setting - to simulate breezes, I guess. One great design feature of this fan is the heavy base. My other pedestal fans wobble during oscillation. Not this one. The base is rock solid. The noise level is acceptable on low & medium, but rather loud on High. I use this fan in a large living room, away from where I will be, so I cant hear it at all. If I intended to use this fan in a bedroom, Id only consider using the Low speed. It moves air well, so a higher speed isnt needed.

This fan has been used eighteen hours per day, seven days a week since the beginning of April. It is just as quiet and reliable as the day I bought it. Cant say the extra fan blade makes any difference. Multiple breeze patterns seem gimmicky and pointless to me, others may disagree.
