> 24 hourHad a haunted garage door that just went up and down by itself - so irritating since I love to park in the garage (it is safer and easier to control three boys in the garage rather than the driveway!) haha!! I had called the garage door companies and was almost ready to pay the $180 charge to get this replaced. But, being the cheapo that I am - unwilling to pay for something I can do myself, I went to Amazon and found this! The reviews are right on! It is easy and fixed my garage door! No more chasing three boys down the street!

> 24 hourThe Beam photo Eye safety kit saved me money. I had an overhead door rep tell me, that the reason for my overhead door was not working was, that it needed a cicuit board that was bad and I needed to have a new door motor installed which will cost me $350. I took a chance on ordering the kit and was hopeing it would fix my problem the kit cost me $22 and what a great find it fixed my door. I am very happy that it saved me hundreds, thanks for the fast shipping.

> 24 hourMy garage door is west facing so in the afternoon sun the electric sensors were beginning to fail. I tried putting cups around the sensors, but found that didnt really help. I replaced these last Saturday and they work great. It was an easy swap with the older rectangular Genie units and all told took about 45 minutes.

> 24 hourInstalls easily and works great. I used these to replace the old ones from my Genie BlueMax system. The old sensors had two plugs with two wires each (see pics). As another reviewer mentioned, combine the white wire from each, and the blue wire from each, then connect those to the new sensor terminals. My only issue with these is that the garage door brackets hit and crushed them. I had to make my own bracket to get enough clearance.

> 24 hourThese work on old openers. One single star reviewer mentions these are not compatible with screw drive Model 12a openers. Yes they do work. And to be clear, that 12a reference is not the opener model, but actually the radio inside, according to some info I found scouring internet sites. My 1/2hp 1993 made Genie screw drive opener also says model 12a inside the plastic cover, and these worked perfectly. According to Genie, these will work on all openers that used infrared sensors out of box, which were made 1993 or later. Any opener that had optional optical safety sensors, will not work with these. These took me about 10mins to install. Clipped off the old connectors, stripped the wire, terminated to terminals on the sensors. Mounted brackets and they synced up immediately. Door working great now.
