> 3 dayI used this to hook up my Dell laptop computer to two external monitors. At first it didnt work and would only duplicate my laptop screen with no option to extend, however, after I downloaded an updated driver it worked perfectly. I can take my laptop with me and when I return home I only have to attach one plug to have it all hooked up again. Its a bit pricy, so I dont think Id give it good value for the money, but it does the job.

> 3 dayAs of this writing, Ive only used the WD19TB for a few days, but its doing everything I want it to do. I previously had a Dell WD15 dock that broke after a year or two. I then bought a Dell 6000 dock, which I promptly returned to Amazon (without any issues) because the 6000 doesnt have an on/off switch. When I first installed the Wd19TB dock, it didnt work properly. I checked online and realized that the drivers on my Dell laptop needed to be updated as Dell has released new drivers for Thunderbolt within the past 6 months. After I updated all of the relevant drivers, the dock worked as advertised, and its still working. I gave this dock 4 stars instead of 5 stars because the USB-C Thunderbolt cable is permanently attached to the dock, just like the Thunderbolt cable on the WD15 dock I used to use. One of the problems I had with the WD15 dock was that the plastic pieces at the end of the USB-C Thunderbolt cable broke, so I taped them back together with electrical tape (as I could not replace the permanently-attached cable without throwing away the dock). I would prefer the Thunderbolt cable not be permanently attached to the dock so I could swap cables if the Thunderbolt cable on the WD19TB breaks like the cable on the WD15 broke.

> 3 dayI struggled trying to get my 4k monitor working using cheaper dongles that came with my laptop and bought on Amazon. The best I could achieve was 4K at 30hz. I finally laid down the change for this dock and now I can run my 4K display at 60 HZ via USBC connection to the monitor. Dell XPS 17 9700.

> 3 dayI got this dock to replace my WD19... the TB version allows you to run triple monitors with the laptop closed... the USB3 version does not (Dual only, + laptop screen as far as I could figure). Given my triple monitor setup, my desk got pretty crowded so I ended up drilling some 2 holes into the desk, installing grommets, and routing cables. With all that, I wanted to get the dock off my desk top and under the desk. It had two mounting holes designed for the Dell mounting kit. Well, dontcha know, I cant spend $30 on a mounting kit when I can MacGyver my own for $15. Heres what I did: The mounting holes in the dock are M2.5. So you need a tiny diameter screw to mount it. 2 screws in fact. I got a 12 inch piece of aluminium bar from Home Depot and drilled 2 holes, 88mm apart for the two M2.5 screws. Then I overdrilled the holes to help recess the screws a little. On the ends of the bar, I drilled two larger holes that wood screws would fit through. I installed the bar to the dock (see pic), then screwed the whole assembly under my desk. I was pretty proud of myself, until I plugged the dock into the power adapter... It wouldnt turn on. I tried a different power adapter (180W, 130W) but no dice. Crap. I broke my dock... or did I? I took the whole assembly down and loosened the M2.5mm screws. When I plugged it back up, the fan started spinning. I remounted it loosely with wood screws, hooked up all my stuff, and it fired right up. Moral of the story: dont tighten the mounting screws too much. This things a little temperamental.

Greater than one weekAs a few others have mentioned, I received a WD19TBS (no audio port), not a WD19TB, as the product page says when I placed my order via Amazon Warehouse. It works fine otherwise, though.

> 3 dayOther aftermarket units failed. As per Dells tech support recommendation, I purchased this. (Im running external monitor and ethernet plus various USB connections. The Dell 7300 Latitude only has USB C so you must have some kind of dock.) While it works -- except for USB A to C audio cable which I have to plug directly into the laptop -- its fine. But the thing weighs more than the Laptop! And the cables are large and difficult to dress them to tidy up the mess of wires. Dell needs to work on design...

> 3 dayDefinitely not worth the money. I never write reviews but I couldnt help it with something at this price failing so significantly. I run a simple laptop and 1 extra monitor with my phone plugged in to it sometimes...I get a fan error message almost daily after less than a month of use. It works well enough that I keep using it but sometimes the fan never stops running and causes my computer to go into some weird safe mode just due to the fan error code. It goes away but sometimes I have to unplug the whole thing to get the fan to run correctly. It is in a well ventilated area. Very disappointed in Dell on with this one.

> 3 dayHad been considering a docking station for some time, as a way to reduce the number of cables I needed to plug into the laptops, but concerned about compatibility with different makes of computer. Decided to try out the Dell WD19TB as it includes a power supply, making it good value. Setup my dual monitors with a Dell XPS 15 and Lenovo P53 workstation. Used a Display Port and HDMI without any problems. I did try using the Thunderbolt output for one of the monitors, but the monitor could not detect the signal, unless you manually selected the DP input. I am pleased to be able to reduce the number of cables I need to plug into my laptops, and that the docking station works with both Lenovo and Dell brands.
