First time having butcher block counters, the difference was unreal. Won’t ever use anything else.

I was looking for a safe, easy way to preserve and protect my wooden cutting board. This product was simple to use, and my board looked great afterward. I wish I would have bought it sooner!

I have been told you can use run of the mill mineral oil but, Im trying to sell my items and want to use the best. I can tell you I get the hype behind Walrus Oil. The color difference is night and day! It brings a shine and depth to the wood that I cant get past. I sincerely believe it will help sell my items faster. Im now definitely a customer for life.

this works sooo much better than just a bottle of food grade mineral oil. It is a thicker liquid, just a dab on the board, then spread entire board with a cloth. As for me, I half a new 1 thick cutting board, and I am leaving a thin coat on the surface for a few weeks, to really let the oil soak in. Once a day I take the same cloth and smear the oil around, look closely every day and you will see areas that are thirsty for more oil.

This is a really nice product for oiling wood. However, the dispensing hole in the top of the container is very large, so its difficult to use the product sparingly -- it just gushes out. And the bottle is lightweight, so if youre not careful to cap it while in use and accidentally knock it over, youll have a high volume of spilled oil due to the large hole. For this, I downgraded it to 4 stars. I usually apply oil directly to the wood then rub it in with my hands. With this I think it would be better to put some in a small bowl and apply either with a cloth or fingertips from there to avoid wasting so much of the product.
