Greater than one weekI’m amazed at how well this product works. After watching the posted videos, I was a little skeptical, but decided to try it anyway. I must admit, it works exactly as shown and it’s really easy to use. A little goes a long way too. It costs a little more, but it’s worth every penny! Extremely pleased with this product.

> 3 dayI had an old cutting board that had never been treated after it was purchased. After 2 pretty heavy coats over 3 days the board was very sealed. Since those initial treatments Ive done one more light coat after many washings. Very satisfied!

> 3 dayEasy to use with beautiful results! Wooden cutting board had not been used in years and had faded terribly. One application and it looks new! Great product!

31-10-2024I decided to take on the challenge of building a cutting board from scratch for my lovely wife. I watched many videos on how to properly seal and give longevity to the well manicured butcher block. A friend of mine suggested, “try walrus oil”. This sounded highly illegal and inhumane. In the southeastern region of the United States, this particular mammal is considered ultra rare, however, squirrels are plentiful. I hunted early in the morning and captured a dray of squirrels. I don’t believe in waste so I cleaned them and made biscuits and gravy from my great grandmothers recipe book. I rendered the fat to a fine oil. 12 squirrels provided enough to coat one board and feed my family of 2. Because I am a cutting board novice, I didn’t think it through and the blood soaked butcher block was resisting the squirrel oil. I resanded the boards and after noticing google had monitored my search history an add for this product appeared. I was shocked walrus oil was bottled and sold. I read the contents and this actually contains zero walrus material. Relieved, but feeling duped, I ordered a bottle. It went on with ease and gave the boards a perfect shine. Animal lovers like me, have no fear, this product is not what you think! It’s better!

Greater than one weekThis is a really nice product for oiling wood. However, the dispensing hole in the top of the container is very large, so its difficult to use the product sparingly -- it just gushes out. And the bottle is lightweight, so if youre not careful to cap it while in use and accidentally knock it over, youll have a high volume of spilled oil due to the large hole. For this, I downgraded it to 4 stars. I usually apply oil directly to the wood then rub it in with my hands. With this I think it would be better to put some in a small bowl and apply either with a cloth or fingertips from there to avoid wasting so much of the product.

> 3 dayMy first (nice to me) cutting board. Oil and wax were easy to use. Applied two coats of oil, let it sit for 24 hours and did 2 coats of wax. Brought out the rich wood colors and water beads right off. Would recommend.
